No it will not unless it can be placed somewhere (ideally about half way) between the source transmitter (i. e. router) and the receiver (laptop.)

Note that in the order of things laptops are the most sensitive with tablets not far behind and phones the least usually by an order and dongles even worse than that. It also helps if the receiver is close to an uncovered window that 'looks' in the direction of the source: a caravan is quite close to being a Faraday Cage especially if the (aluminium backed) blinds are pulled down.

If the OP is using something portable then it is best to carry it nearer the source.

That is not the information given by Kuma ie distance from transmitter.

http://www. acdctv. co. uk/product/accessories/kuma-usb-wifi-wireless-repeater/ How much? :o

£50 from Solwise for an identical bit of kit.

Three ways to go - Mifi box with data SIM card (so using mobile phone networks) or if you want to pick up a site's weak wifi signal or utilise say the FON network, then http://www. solwise. co. uk/wireless-usb-usbwifirpt-3000. html plus a Rocket Omni antenna or a directional panel antenna. The two Solwise items come in under £100 for the "kit". Same items from Motorhome Wifi but at £165 http://www. motorhomewifi. com/catalog/iboost-wifi-system/ Third option is to tether your Smart Phone but again using the mobile phone network.

ACDCTV aren't really up there with technical knowledge, they've merely pasted info from the manufacturer. You're best off speaking to Solwise as they know what's what and will advise accordingly.

Edit - if you have a laptop and/or a device with a USB port and only want to use one device at a time, then all you'll need is an antenna as mentioned above to pick up the site's weak signal. The USB router won't be then required.

No matter how much you amplify even 1000% increase on nothing is still nothing. The information on that link is plain wrong. Yes it might help a weak signal with a mobile phone as the latter are notoriously deaf on wi-fi, but if the OP is using a laptop (which usually has a very efficient aerial down one side of the screen) and it doesn't work then it won't with the booster in the caravan either. If the laptop is screened by the caravan (can be found by taking the laptop outside) then a repeater in the car outside the van may help, but as Mr Scott always said "you canna change the laws of Physics."

Why do you think the computer industry make plug-in repeaters for people with long houses and the router at one end. Plug the repeater into a socket somewhere about half way along and Robert is your mother's brother as they say.

As said I use a repeater as I live in a long bungalow and the router is about 80 ft and 5 walls away but the repeater is plugged in halfway to boost the signal on but you need a signal to boost which sites struggle to supplyingfrom the start.
