Carver Fanmaster Overheat Problems

Recommended Posts

Hello I have a bailey ranger 450/2 with a carver fanmaster, works OK for a bit then overheats, if the fan setting is on auto it will work fine until the van cones up to tempurture then the fan will click in to the low setting as it does but when it clicks back to full power to reheat the van the air is cold, its as if its on 2kw when on full an stays on 2kw when the fan slows down and not going to 1kw mode, perhaps that's why its over heating ? Has anyone experienced this before ?

Any help appreciated

I have not experienced this, but on a service I had done the mobile engineer brought me about half a carrier bag of fluff and dust after he had cleaned my heater including ducts. He told me that my previous place where I had taken the van to on the last two occasions must not have done their job properly.

Could this be the cause, and the warm air is not being drawn away causing overheat.

Yes - the fins do get choked with fluff. Here's mine in mid-cleaning.
