Don't know if that's a record. :)

A bit of background. ..

Started caravanning in the early 1980s when I bought my dad's Thompson Glendale, complete with B&B hitch, no fridge, gas lights and louvred windows. Moved on to Perle, Leda, Avondale, and Elddis. During that time, visited many sites and went on CC rallies all over the place until I lost the desire and sold up in the late 1990s.

Decided to start all over again a couple of years ago with a Bailey Ranger after our daughter grew up, and since then have mostly used CC sites and CLs.

I think you should change your broadband supplier. A 5 month response time would be too slow for me

Perhaps CC posted one year ago and his broadband is even slower.

what have you found to be the biggest change in caravanning since you were last caravanning in the 1990's?

First and foremost, the weight changes (caravan, not me!).

My 1991 Elddis Hurricane had much the same layout as my current Bailey Ranger - 2 berth, end washroom, yet the Bailey weighs nigh-on 250kg more. Apart from the Bailey's fitted microwave, equipment levels are similar but while I could easily manage to manoeuvre the Elddis single-handed, I've had to have a Mover fitted to the Bailey.

And of course, everything costs a lot more than it did then!
