Never Rains But It Pours

Recommended Posts

If you've seen onther post by me on the saga of the dessicant spill and the fact that insurance are forking out, just when I thought I had got away with a mega expense, I took the van in for service only to be told there is a crack in my shower unit which is all one piece. ........ Gutted.

Any one else had this, apparently they said it was common.

I've already got a mail on the Bailey group about the exact same problem with my Pegasus 462.

I understand Bailey's will NEVER accept a warranty claim even if it is as a result of a manufacturing-caused failure.

Hi and Good Evening,

I had a Lunar the base split from the side walls. This allowed water to enter the bedroom end of the van. Lunar dried out the bedroom. PSP repaired the shower never had another problem after the repair. It was difficult to tell Where they had repaired the shower. They were 18 months ago excellent clean workers.

Regards,

Postie. :-)

Just spoke to Barry at PSP and the good news is the cracked panel is replaceable at a fraction of a cubicle cost. And Barry says he has that panel in stock. What a nice helpful guy to talk to. Things are looking up. :)

I rang Barry's mobile at 19:30hrs not expecting anyone to answer and Barry said he was just looking at the photo and text I had posted on their website. There is a picture of a before and after repair of a Lunar van cubicle done under Lunar Warranty by this firm. Very impressive.

He said he was often over our way and he would time the repair to coincide with being in this area to reduce travelling costs.

Just had PSS Plastics estimate for fitting a new shower wall . ............. £234 and thats for them to come and do it at my address. ......... Unbelievable.

Shudder to think how much a new cubicle from Coachman and fitting would have cost.

Happy days.

Barry from PPS has just been and repaired the shower cubicle. He has done a brilliant job and it looks like new. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

The first photo shows the crack before. The next two what it looks like now.

Woodentop,

If Bailey NEVER accept a warranty claim, (and I`m not saying you are wrong) why would people buy a new caravan without a warranty, because the one issued would be worthless?

Bailey took our 'van to Bristol from Yorkshire, fitted a complete new back panel (manufacturing defect) and attended to various small jobs under warranty returning the 'van to us at no cost whatsoever to ourselves.

John.

I have had the same excellent service from these guys, they managed to get my shower cubicle replaced free of charge after confirming to Coachman it was a factory fault, this was despite Coachman refusing on several occasions to cover it under warranty, I sent them, the dealer and Coachman the same photos it was only Barry who secured the repair with Coachman, dealer had no idea.

Top marks to them. Well worth remembering them.

We've just had a new shower wall fitted by PSS (Plastic Shower Specialists) http://www. plasticshowerspecialists. co. uk/hyper/testimonials. htm.

They are near Hull but travel the country doing repair work and manufacturer's warranty work.

Barry did a superb job and the shower is now better than it was when the van was new. Fantastic!
