Does you Alutech caravan leak?

Nice little survey as there are different models split over years and mk's a good guide would be number of leaks by year of manufacture. Still like it tho

Yes its a great idea Dreadly.

 

Should help give a early indicator of any U3 problems.

Will it stay at the top or does it need to be pinned?

On an alutec that is just the floor so it strictly isn't a Full NCC damp check. They cannot check the walls because of the internal GRP

Why can't they use a non piercing technique, like the ultrasonic resonance detector that was used on my Hymer?

They could but they dont!! Most of the leak will end up on the floor so a floor check shold be suffice.

I think you need at least a thousand votes for any meaning full result.

I agree, it was just out of morbid interest really :lol:

 

Interesting that people are still being told that their vans do not require a full damp test though :unsure::angry:

No, there is no Mk4 as far as I am aware, I was future proofing the survey in anticipation of the impending damp :lol: :lol: :lol:
