  1. I am looking for an Avondale Dart 380-2 toilet window. the overall dimensions are about 710mm wide by 560mm high. If there are none about I may cut and heat mould on myself. This would be done by clamping a suitable sized acrylic or lexan piece in a jig and heat moulding it with a heat gun.
  2. Hello, can anyone make use of front windows from an abbey 417 before I throw them away?
  3. On a recent trip, we had some heavy rainfall and stiff winds. The lounge window and the toilet window both started letting water in, although the windows were closed. This wasn’t a drip but a trickle. On inspection, I found the area where the water was entering was where the seal ends butted up to each other. After opening the windows and drying the area, the leaks stopped. All rather strange. Has anyone else experienced this type of issue?
  4. Has anyone else had problems with the lunar Alaria windiws cracking
  5. Hi all, we own a 2017 lunar Clubman SR, I Put my head out of the main skylight the window in the living area and noticed four fixing holes in the skylight unit have no screws in them? There are four holes in total two each side of the long run of plastic that the blackout blind and fly scream slide along, I’m not sure that they should have screws in them, but before I go screaming to the dealer about lunar lack of quality control, which is significant, 🤪, I wondered if anyone out their with the same van has noticed the same, or has the same, should those holes be full of screws or not?
  6. Hi there, Just wondering if anyone can suggest where we can get a replacement bathroom window for our 2006 series 5 Bailey Senator Carolina without having a brand new one manufactured at a cost of over £500? Cheers x Andi
  7. Hi de hi Caravaners, As a newbie to Caravaning I would like to pick every ones brains,I have recently bought a beautiful Avondale Argente 640, 6 BUT last week it got blown over god alone knows how but it did,and no I am not insured ::((( Amazingly though 3 sides and the interior are damage free !!! BUT the front not so lucky the 3 windows have gone and there is a break in the piece of wood which is underneath the window frame, and the plastic is cracked,The van is solid and towable,,it is in storage but in the open in Abersoch North Wales, So two questions Firstly is there any one out
  8. I bought my Coachman from the Caravan Company at Northants last year, with a 12 month warranty. It sits happily on my drive so I see it every day. Last week, on one of the first days with double figure temperatures I noticed a bloom about six inches in diameter of condensation inside the front nearside window. Checked inside and all is well, no moisture or damp anywhere. It disappeared in the evening and returned the following day. Emailed Caravan Company and their immediate response was to apologise, asked me for confirmation of the window aperture dimensions and said as soon as
  9. We have a shiny new replacement front window in our caravan. I notice that turning the latch handles makes their base plates turn as well. Another of the older windows already in place has the same condition. The black plastic back plates between the layers stay put nicely, so my instinct is to gently tighten up the screws holding the pairs of plates together. My other instinct urges caution in case this cracks the window - and it was a real nuisance getting this replacement window sorted from the makers: I don't want to have to go to that expense & more nuisance. So any adv
  10. Who can help? Looking for a used middle front window--64cm (high) by 74cm(wide).. its the middle item. .. think it is the year 1999. ...no book and I cannot find any year on the little plate. on the window :5G75JUB ABT0323533 Thanks for the help. Greetings from Connemara nicholas
  11. Hello everyone, Not been on here for a while, hope you are all well! Just been looking at the new Sprite range, it is more upmarket now - so Swift decided to tint the windows. Has anyone ordered a new 2016 sprite, can you still see in the windows from the outside? I like to check through the window before we leave to make sure everything is in order, but the tint maybe too much to see in! Thanks in advance Michael P. S. Example of Sprite windows attached
  12. I have already replaced the centre front window on our van with a new one i had to have made, but now i will have to replace the front nearside window. Does anybody know where i would be able to get a decent secondhand one, bearing in mind that our van is a 2004 and so far looking at breakers around the country not many of them break later vans. Grateful for any info.
  13. How do I replace the offside front roller blind on my 2007 swift challenger 540. It's torn.
  14. We had our new caravan glass coated and so far this seems to be good, but its early days. Before it was done I asked if the windows would be coated. They said a detonate definite no, as the type of plastic used in the windows needed to 'breath'. Does anyone know of a material which might offer extra protection to caravan windows and still allow them to breath, or is just washing them the answer? I just read the topic which seems to indicate the product is suitable. I will ask the question within that topic as well. http://www. caravantalk. co. uk/community/topic/104272-bullet-polish/ J
  15. I have a brand new Delta TI when towing the three front window catches undo. These are the new modified windows has anybody else experienced this problem?
  16. Hello everyone. I think I was a member before but I can't track down any details so I've joined again! I know from reading everything I can on here and elsewhere on the web that both of the above are not unknown problems so I was hoping someone could help with a couple of questions. The Power supply unit has failed and since the lugs on the plastic casing are also broken and have been bodged in the past I think I will have to bite the bullet and replace the whole thing. I can't find one online and I wonder if an alternative better/cheaper on can be fitted. It is the charger in
  17. Just recently got an Avondale. While giving it a good clean today I noticed that there are a few dead flies and things in the windows. Any ideas how I can clean these out?
  18. could anyone tell me where i might get a kitchen window approx 58cm x 58cm for my avondale thanks Chris
  19. Hi, Going for our 2nd outing out next week & decided to clean the caravan windows. Opened the front side windows & noticed about half inch of water which just fills the very outer corner of each window. Panic! Also the acrylic has got condensation so assuming it is a build up of the condensation. We have had torrential rain showers past week with very warm sun in between. I looked on various forums & have done as advised, prised out the small plugs at the top & opened the windows wide to let the sun get at them. The front faces the mainly early morning sun, the sun
  20. Hi, I live in whitehaven, cumbria, and have a 35'x12' static van which has suffered a water leak -now repaired, but it's ruined the floors, Does anyone know a place that can repair it?
  21. Good evening all, We have an Avondale Dart 556-6 that has two windows that have delaminated. One of them has effectively fully detached the outer shell from the inner. Just travelled back from cornwall with a whole roll of gaffer tape holding it together!! Can anyone advise what adhesive I would require to fix this? I'm assuming I'm going to have to take the whole opening part of the window off. Any advise how to do this as well please? Best regards, Mark Heptonstall
  22. I have an Abbey Vogue 600 with a flyscreen that is not working and the blind doesn't recoil all the way back, can anyone help? Cheers, Steve
  23. Hello Im new to caravans I have wanted one for ages but the cost of a caravan has been beyond my reach with a young family, we now finally have a 1979 fibreline and we are over the moon with it and have been busy tidying it up as it was covered in decals and was pretty filthy I have a few questions if anybody would be so kind as to help 1. I appear to have some damp/soft wood around one of the windows I have replaced the rubber as this was all cracked and broken, is it a big job that could potentially damage the van should I try and cut this out. 2. there is a small hole in the floo
