I am a new owner of a Wilk S4 450 HTD caravan from 2009. Unfortunately the installed battery was not the best, so I have bought a new Optima AGM yellowtop 55Ah. There is a charger installed behind the car heater under the closet (Shenzen Ritar Power). I am not able to find any info on this charger, but it is supposed to have 230 V input. Output is 13.8 V increasing to 14.2 V, 12 A. Question is if a ccharger like this is the best for the new battery or I am better of by installing a more modern one (thought of a Ctek MXS 5.0 A charger)? Or will the original charger be good enough baring in mind that it is constantly on while plugged into 230 V. Regards Hans
Hi Everyone I am hoping for some help on an issue we have with gas flow please. I recently purchased a Wilk Royale for touring in. I have been fixing some minor issues with it but this one I can't seem to solve. I have connected up the gas bottle for the first time, it is about 1/4 full from shaking it. It has a bottle mounted regulator that connects to the main gas feed for the caravan. The switch on the regulator is in the on position. The feed goes to 3 red taps under the sink, which rotate through 360 degrees. These feed the cooker, the fridge and the heating system respectively. I have turned them on, individually and collectively, but no gas is coming through at all. Not to the hobs, oven or fridge. The heating system was removed by the previous owner and has been capped off underneath. The quality of the pipework under the van is good and I have tested for leaks as far as I can reach currently. All appears to be in good order. I have also connected the butane gas cannister directly to a camping stove I have, which lights straight away. This would appear to suggest it is not a regular issue. I have also replaced the rubber connecting pipe, just to be sure. I am now at a loss for what to try next. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. if this is in the wrong thread, apologies, I couldn't find anywhere more appropriate for it. (just found the gas threads, sorry mods for duplicate post) Thanks in advance.
