Twice now after servicing, and on two different models of Volvo, I have had clonking noises from the rear end. On both occasions I was told it was because raising the car relaxed the suspension allowing a stone that was trapped to get caught elsewhere. Anyone else experienced this on a Volvo or any other vehicle ?

Has anyone experience Volvo V70 overheating when towing their caravan? Ours keeps overheating towing up hills, engine overheats and causes gearbox to slip. Trying to find out if this is a common problem with Volvo V70?? It's a 2002 163 D5, 285 model automatic. We looked into oil cooler but it' not an option for this car from volvo we have already added extra fan just wondered if v70 are common for this a looking to replace car possibly with xc70 but don't want same issues

It's a bit hilly where I live. The other day while driving up a steep road, I noticed that momentary rise in revs you get when the clutch is going. I've only worn a clutch out once before. But that was 25 years ago when I used to thrash my Nissan Micra over the Pennines twice a day to work and back. I've been towing with the Volvo XC60 for three years. I've no previous experience, as that's how long we've been caravanning. Is clutch wear a common problem with towcars?

Our son is of an age he likes to have his bike around, and we like to bike with him. .....so presently we take 3 bikes on the roof of our current Insignia estate car on most caravanning weekends. Climbing up to mount bikes on the estate is easy enough But here's the issue, we're considering changing to a volvo xc70, but there's probably more xc60's around in the configuration we want (manual, diesel, 160 or 180bhp, and a particular colour my wife prefers. at a price we can afford), and we're usually in th

From the album: First van Bailey Vendee S5
Having just collected our first van this was our first stop; Rivington services M61, for a well earned breather and a strong coffee . . . to help stop the shaking ! -
