Morning all! So we have been chewing through some options for our next Van purchase. After a great deal of cyber window shopping and a few dealer visit's it's become apparent that if we were to up the budget a touch to around £16/£17k then you are knocking on the door of New 2019 Vans such as the Bailey Phoenix (entry level?). For the same money you can buy a Pegasus (midrange?) 2016/2017 for example. What are people thoughts about the benefits of buying New albeit the entry model against buying a 2/3 year old Van from further up the range? Many thanks for all contributions.

Just signed up having just completed the purchase of a 2006/7 Bailey Ranger 500/5. I have recently sold a LHD motorhome which we used for 10 years. We extensively toured Europe in the motorhome and worked for Alan Rogers' Guides until they were laid to rest by the Caravan Club! We have therefore looked again at what we needed to tour and found that we had a car suitable for towing and that the need to move on every day had become less important. We looked at the advantages and disadvantages of the change to a caravan and realised that the touring advantages of setting up a base and using the car with the aspect of easier parking in towns and cities (and UK supermarkets!).

Hi all, I've got to move again, the landlord wants to put the rent up and other crazy requests and it's just not worth it to me. I've seen this http://www. gumtree. com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/static-caravan-for-sale/1058448306#photo-content It seems too good to be true, my bank have agreed to lend me the money and I can get to work in 20 min so ideal really. What questions should I ask? What do I need to know? From what I can work out I buy it, and then start paying site fees after March 2015. I was going to ask for a copy of the contract I would be signing with the site to review it, and find out if there are any selling/buying fees involved, also how long I can keep it on the site. Anything else? How can I tell if the caravan is not falling apart? Thanks all -
