In our Sterling Eccles Solitaire caravan we have a Dometic RMS 8551 fridge that intermittently trips when on 230v supply, this has only happened on one site, this site has 5 pitches and when on pitch 3 - to 5 we have to put the fridge on gas or the heating, (site is 16amp supply) on pitch 1 or 2 it works without any problems until this time when on pitch 2. The fridge loses it's 230v supply and if I reduce the heating kw to 2 or 1 it comes back on ? ran the fridge on gas while away from the van but put it back on 230 on return, on the last day it ran 24 hours without a problem, according to the manual this is due to low voltage and if that's the case why does the pitch consumer unit not trip. Any idea's would be much appreciated . Beckjo
Robin (aug 82) has a "wonderful" switch panel that is shown in the picture. everything seems to work apart from the water pump (cant test the sockets due to no suitable test device). looking at the provided circuit diagram, its protected by a 5amp mcb, which does manually trip and reset. but still cant get to work even when fiddling the pressure switch as per http://bits4caravans. co. uk/images/cache/Whale_pressure_switch. 600. jpg the foot pump works fine so i know its not that, cant see any breaks in cables or other fuse boxes. any suggestions ? notes, ther eis a battery and a battery charger,,, the tp2 isnt actually there,,, all 240 works, ceiling 12v lights work
We are on Site with 16amp ehu, every time I switch on my Whale water heater it trips the bollard! I have tried it with nothing else on but it still trips! There is water in the boiler and it worked when we first arrived yesterday? The rcd in the Motorhome does not trip it is only at the bollard. Any ideas please.
