Hello all, Are there any petrol cars that tow well? I ask because when I got my first caravan, I had a 2.2 litre Volvo V60 and it was really bad to tow with. I almost didn't make it up a very steep hill one time (screaming in first gear). So the above converted me to diesel cars but as diesels are now known to be more polluting than petrol (and will eventually be banned), I would like to think about alternatives. Thanks for any insights. Cheers! TJ
After all the agony over Valencia wheels coming loose a year or so ago, you'd think that Bailey dealers would have no problem getting it right. We have just had our 2011 Valencia serviced, at *********** (no names no pack drill) and the service sheet blithely said Torque checked at 120 Nm. I didn't spot this for a few days, but then went in and enquired with the head of the Service dept. "Oh yes, it should be 160Nm." he said apologetically. I wonder how many other Valencias have slipped through at this Dealer without the owner picking this up. So, Valencia owners - don't rely on the Service engineer getting it right. Make sure you check!
Please help! We are due to travel to France this Friday. ...yes, I know, the day after tomorrow! My hubby has just been to check the wheel nuts. He has tightened them using a torque wrench, following the guidance which was written down by our dealer. We have a S2 Unicorn Valencia and were told tot tighten them to 160 Newton Metres. All went well until the last nut, which has snapped! Leaving half of it stuck in there! I have contacted the dealers, who said for me to call Bailey, I have called Bailey, who said I have to e-mail their customer service dept. I have sent them an e-mail (about 2 hours ago), but not had a reply. Called the dealer back again, they have ordered one from Bailey but it has to be sent to them, not to us! We live 180 mile, round trip away from dealer, not that it is going to get to them or us in time! Does anyone know, if we can use another nut?Assuming that we can remove the bit which is stuck! As you can imagine. ..panicking ever so slightly! Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Julie
I have a 2011 Lunar Conquest (Quasar) 544 and since having a full redecorate throughout our house, I've misplaced the owners manual. It will turn up but I need to know the following:- 1. Torque setting for allow wheels? 2. Tyre Pressure? I have a condition which makes me forgetful so your help would be great. I can then print them out and pop it in my toolbag so I dont need to ask again. Thanks very much Andi
