2017 has been a really tough year so far. We have said our final farewells to my father in January and my wife's mother in March. Everything has been on hold but today we booked our Eurotunnel crossing from Folkestone to Calais and all being well, in precisely 1 week, we will be driving off the train in France. Detailed plans are somewhat sketchy but we will be driving through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and finally into Croatia. Our first trip to the latter two countries. We had thought we would stay at Lake Bled en-route but we might head straight into Croatia where the weather should be a bit warmer and visit Bled on the way back. Depending how long we spend in Slovenia and Croatia we may track back through Italy and France, spending a week or so in the Ardeche, which is one of our favourite French regions. We plan to return early July, before the French embark upon their vacances. We've upgraded our HSBC packaged insurance for around £120 which I though was pretty decent value for money. Eurotunnel, we gained a 10% discount by ordering through the CMC. Our car and van is insured through ADAC in Germany. Fixed a problem with the live feed on Pin 9 of the Towbar electrics and busy packing everything up. I'll post a few updates along the way. ..
