Newbie, still learning. Is there anywhere that I can check how good/bad/indfiferent my local dealer is please? I can see the review section only lists caravans, sites and towcars. I am wondering whether I should use my local dealer 3 miles away, or whether based on people's past experiences I might want to travel further afield. I know you can't always rely on reviews, as Tripadvisor demonstrates well in my experience, but there might be some useful pointers. Secondly how does this relate to buying at the NEC show? Do I negotiate the best deal with whichever dealer can provide it then travel to pick up the van before letting a more local dealer service it in years to come? Is that how things work? Thanks

Don't forget all you fellow not-so-new-Adria owners, maybe consider posting your own review of your van once you have had it for a while?! http://www. caravantalk. co. uk/community/page/caravan-reviews/_/adria/

Has anyone ever towed with a Passat 2. 5 v6 tdi. Im looking to buy our first caravan and was wondering how my car would cope towing. Its a 2002 model but it is very low mileage.

Having a quick sweep through the usual suspects in the towcar reviews reveals mostly 5 scores (including me !). Its funny that most people seem to have a gripe about their vans, but their towcar choice is mostly tip top. Does this mean within reason, that caravanners have settled pretty well on towcar choice, taking into account the dual purpose need, or that manufacturers produce models that are fit for our purpose ?

After a great deal of work and some fantastic feedback from our Caravan Talk Supporters (who got an early screening) and early reviewers (you know who you are ) we're proud to announce a new tool: Towcar Reviews This section is free to all members and will let you easily add reviews of your favourite towcars to our new database. We've included all of the regular bits that you'd expect in car reviews, but also some bits just for caravanners (such as kerb weight, noseweight etc if known). Please take a look and leave you own reviews of your current and previous towcars, the more of you that add entries, the more useful it will be to those looking for a tow car. You never know; you might use it yourself when researching your next tugger! It's still in early development, so if there are any bugs or issues please let me know directly or via this thread and I'll look into fixing them ASAP. Oh, and for those who're wondering; no we haven't forgotten caravan and campsite reviews - they're next!!!

Hi everyone, Having had a look through the Caravan Talk YouTube channel recently I discovered that some of my videos have been viewed quite a bit (thank you!) and some have been missed. To give them all a fair chance I thought I'd start a thread that will include every single NNN video uploaded to the Caravan Talk channel, starting from the very beginning. Hope you enjoy them and welcome any feedback 2012 Manchester Caravan Show Part 1 2012 Manchester Caravan Show Part 2
