  1. Hi as a new caravaner, I need some advice please. My van is in storage and it has been scratched, I would assume by accident. My van is a 2018 Bailey Cadiz and I am not sure of the best way to get it repaired, its several lines about 3"long but has not gone through the shell but they are quite deep, thankfully I could see no dent. I went to a local caravan dealer who do not sell Bailey caravans and I got the distinct impression they were not interested in helping, which was a bit of a surprise. Any surgestions or help would be appreciated.
  2. Hi, we have a Swift Conquerer 570 - 2011. The fixed panoramic sky light at the front, nearly went for a Burton on the M25 last weekend on our way to Devon. Thank the Lord for gaffer tape. Now back home, I’d like to re-fix it. The window is fine, just needs to be glued. I’ve bought some Sika EBT mastic in black. My intention is to run a thin bead around the edge and place the window in position and then finish off with a bead in the gap between the shell and window. Not ever having done this before, I’d like any advice available from anyone who has carried it out themselves, and a
  3. Hi all I'm new to forums, have had a search through but can't find this, so sorry if its a repeat question! I bought a caravan that was missing the flap to close off the external electric point, and you can see from the photo I'll need to replace the whole housing. I've contacted a couple of places that make caravan parts (one is sending me a new wheel arch spat), but I can't find anywhere that makes this, nor can I find info on a part number for it! Can anyone please help? Cheers Steve
  4. Hi I wonder if anyone can help me? We have a year 1999 / 2000 lunar ultralite that has a good few wee problems we'd like to fix! I have no idea where to buy the correct spare parts from or how to find the part numbers. I need some cupboard door stays and opening / closing clasps, I need the canvas strap with the push metal buttons (to keep the tables in place in the cupboard), new kitchen taps, a new water pump, a new jockey wheel and I'd like a new a frame cover too as the one we have is all cracked! I also would really like recommendations for a caravan engineer in the west central Sco
  5. We have an old static caravan left in our garden when we bought our house (20 years ago), I have no idea of the age or model but if it helps to date it it had gas lighting! The roof has had storm damage from trees and I have made repairs with silicon and aluminium sheet; but last winter I noticed another leak at the rear of the caravan and cannot track down where the water is getting in. Does anyone know who can carry out repairs to these types of lightweight roofs? we are in Suffolk. thanks.
  6. At the end of 2018, the nearside wheel of my caravan was noticeable high in the wheel arch, I removed the wheels and axle to discover the Torsion rubber suspension had failed, after 6 months of searching for a new or used replacement, to no avail, I found a Great company in Scotland that will repair, refurbish or rebuild your axle. A lovely gentlemen Fraser Brown, arranged collection of the packaged axle, replaced the Torsion suspension, and arranged shipment back. All within a week, Yes a week. The price was extremely fair at £480 = VAT including shipping. It was such a great customer service
  7. I have a Lunar Clubman 2014 caravan and unfortunately the toilet blind seems to have come undone on the cords that operate the blind Can anyone tell me is this repairable and how to dismantle from the caravan interior regards Stan
  8. Hi all, we own a 2017 lunar Clubman SR, I Put my head out of the main skylight the window in the living area and noticed four fixing holes in the skylight unit have no screws in them? There are four holes in total two each side of the long run of plastic that the blackout blind and fly scream slide along, I’m not sure that they should have screws in them, but before I go screaming to the dealer about lunar lack of quality control, which is significant, 🤪, I wondered if anyone out their with the same van has noticed the same, or has the same, should those holes be full of screws or not?
  9. Could any one advise of what is involved in a 4 layer floor repair what costs are involved and are these successfull
  10. Does anyone know anyone who makes the rear top corner binnacle repair kit, does the swift binnacle fit?
  11. Hi, Trying to find a replacement door for our Hobby 495 UK (2003). Just had a call from the storage site to advise that someone broke in and stole the door by removing the lock and lifting it off it's hinges ! We bought this while living in Germany, and it has given us many happy holidays around Europe. Keen to get the door replaced, but looking for a more cost effective solution than the almost GBP 1000 that I've been quoted so far !! Any ideas ? Is there a standard size for either caravan or Hobby doors - is a breaker's yard an option ? Grateful for the benefit of any experi
  12. The cassette full light on my 2002 Amaras toilet was not working. No surprise as the battery box had corroded and fallen off. So time to replace it and at the same time fix the lever that opens the blade to the cassette. http://i38. photobucket. com/albums/e140/carlsurgey/ThetfordC-200CW29. jpg Drain the flush tank here. http://i38. photobucket. com/albums/e140/carlsurgey/ThetfordC-200CW28. jpg Undo these 4 screws, http://i38. photobucket. com/albums/e140/carlsurgey/ThetfordC-200CW25. jpg Unscrew this one http://i38. photobucket. com/albums/e140/carlsurgey/ThetfordC-200C
  13. I rearranged the rear end of our 2006 Lunar Clubman back in July courtesy of a "helpful" French person attempting to guide me through a payment booth at a Carrefor, the nominated repair workshop unfortunately got the repair timings wrong, so the 'van only went in to workshop on the 2nd January. She came out yesterday, basically we have a new 'van. A new rear end, lower side panel cassette toilet door awning strip and new graphics, plus it had been cleaned and polished bringing it back to it's former glory. We had it reupholstered last October so we have a new van! Can't wait to get away.
  14. Hello bought a 2012 Moselle static caravan this aug. Very pleased with it and have it located a trevella park Cornwall But. ...lots of little snags. .patio. Door locks broken knobs on cooker faulty or missing lights broken or missing hole in furniture and this weekend some doors not shutting Sales manager promised repairs will be done by "a team that travel the country" I'm not the only one on site having snags one has a massive dent in their fridge. Just wondered if anyone knows of any team doing repairs. Or have I been duped? The caravan is special a legacy after my husband
  15. Hi Has anyone use a moblie caravan repair person in the Middlesex area please. We are needing one for a customer and was wondering who you could recommend? Thank you Vicky
  16. Hi, please help! We have just returned from a nightmare trip in France! We had a blow-out on the journey down, which caused damage to the drivers side panel. This also caused the fridge to drop and the freezer door to break, the oven had suffered a little too. We had two new tyres fitted - with our TYRON bands, enjoyed out holiday and set off for home. 10 miles down the road, the caravan started snaking, started down a ditch, damaged the other side on tree branches and we heard a loud thump! When my hubby managed to get it under control, we realised we had lost the passenger side alloy! Ca
