This might not be a big issue to most but to my wife and I, it's a real pain. The Daewoo microwave as fitted to most of the 2013 Luna range is, in the case of my Delta Ti, very high off the floor so it's hard for anyone of less than 6 foot to see into the microwave, let alone see what's cooking inside. This I can accept as it's probably the only place Lunar could site it. Now the big moan and it's safety related - the microwave light only comes on only during the cooking cycle. All microwaves that I've ever had, the light comes on as soon as the door is opened or during the cooking cycle. To further compound this lack of visibility, the inside of the microwave is a dark grey, not white like other models. So imagine you're cooking a bowl of soup. Set the timer, press start and the light comes on. At the end of the cycle, light goes out, open the door but you can't see the liquid inside the bowl (lack of light and height). Then you have to try and lift the bowl out, not knowing if the liquid is luke warm of boiling hot. Now try this again at night with just the 'van lights . I'll be asking Lunar for their thoughts on Monday as to why they chose a Daewoo counter top microwave that, IMO, has a serious design & safety issue when used at height. Rant over .

Hi, I'm a new member and a new caravanner, (last August). I own a 2012 Lunar Quasar and am very happy with it but would like something with a different layout, (fixed double & perhaps larger kitchen). I've been looking around and the layout closest to what I'm looking for is in the Sterling range. Has anyone any experience and views on relative quality and reliability etc of the different makes please? Any comments would be very welcome. Cheers, SteveE

I have very recently purchased a new 2013 Lunar Ultima (dealer version of Quasar) 556 model and took it out for a trial run at the weekend. It has some great features and really pleased with it. .... except for one thing. It has the new Truma combi blow air central heating system. This works by the heating unit blowing hot air to the 3 outlets, 1 at each end and 1 in the bathroom. The required temperature is set using a nice LCD screen and measured by a heat sensor next to the door. The problem is, that while the outlet at the front heats up quickly and blows out really hot air, the outlet at the rear of the van blows out cold air and never gets warm, never mind hot! This means it gets very warm at the front of the van, but is cold at the rear which really defeats the point of a "central" heating system. Does anyone else with this system have this same problem or know what the problem is? Thanks in advance for your views.

I have a 2011 Lunar Conquest (Quasar) 544 and since having a full redecorate throughout our house, I've misplaced the owners manual. It will turn up but I need to know the following:- 1. Torque setting for allow wheels? 2. Tyre Pressure? I have a condition which makes me forgetful so your help would be great. I can then print them out and pop it in my toolbag so I dont need to ask again. Thanks very much Andi

I'm in a dilemma on which caravan to buy but I've narrowed it down to two by virtue of availability at local dealers, layout (side dinette / end wash) and I wish to buy British. It's either; Lunar Quasar 494 - Lightweight, £400ish cheaper, appears to be better put together with more attention to details and build quality. Swift Challenger Sport 524 - Larger 'van with more space including head height (I'm 6'2") but 150kg heavier, side dinette larger, 10 year warranty (water ingress), slightly more kit for money. A lot of people call Lunars "leaky" and a lot of people complaining about build quality on Swifts. From a month of looking Lunars and Coachman caravans appear to be better put together with more attention to the details and build quality but are more traditional in build. Salesmen are vague and avoid talking about build quality. Help! Any thoughts on this subject would be welcome.
