Hi peeps, it him again, a quick question if I may, and, whilst this question might seam a bit mad I thought I’d enquire. We’re currently sitting in a great campsite in Kent, however, the lime levels here are extraordinary high, so high you have to wipe the kettle out every two days or you’re drinking limescale, not sure what it’s doing to those poor bu ggers out there that have to suffer it on a permanent basis, however, the question is, “ has anyone out there ever felt the need to run kettle descaler through the water system?” And, if so, did it damage it? would it damage it? Our van is a 2017 model the heating system is a sealed trauma system which runs on antifreeze so no worries with that, but the hot water system, taps and pipe work must be taking a right lime dousing at present, so I was wondering if it’s possible? as always your answers will only be shared with those that visit caravan forum, I’m looking forward to receiving your responses regards johnny

Hi I have touched on this subject on one of my previous topics. Here we go again as this is really niggling me. My Elddis Crusader Super Sirocco has an onboard tank which is a great job. The external switch fills the onboard tank from the aquaroll then you switch to internal to use taps etc. When using external there is great water pressure but the pump runs all the time. This means when i go to a site i cannot just use the aquaroll. Also has anyone noticed that there is better water pressure for a shower from the aquaroll than the onboard pump. To shower i actually turn the tap off at the onboard tank and shout to my wife to turn on the external switch and i can have a great shower. I have already looked into the pump on the onboard tank and have put a pump into it which is identical to the external pump but the pressure is still not great. Hope this makes sense. Gary
