Hi everyone. I’ve recently bought a (I don’t even know how old but would guess early 90s) static caravan and am currently in the midst of renovating. The integrated oven/grill when we bought it was a ‘Vanette Supa 4 Oven & Grill’ measuring circa 75cmx49cm. I’m pretty sure they don’t make them anymore and I can see nothing online about them. We bought a Thetford Spinflo Midi Prima Oven/Grill (1/2 Height) to replace it but it’s too small so I’m just wondering if anyone could steer me in the direction of a replacement that is closer in size to our original? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you so much!

Just looking at the current Thetford catalogue for cooking and cooling appliances, it says that the Aspire Mk 2 comes with 2 oven shelves, but our new Lunar only came with one. Are we missing one or do all Aspire Mk 2s fitted to vans only come with only one shelf?

We have a 2006 Sterling Europa 520 from new. It has been regularly serviced. Every now and again over past 5 year, gas has not got through to the oven/hob, then inexplicably starts working again. It works 95% of the time. It may be the microswitch in the hob lid, but there is no rhyme or reason why it should be. We always set up and pack away in the same way. Sometimes, it appears just moving the van sorts the problem. Now its has got to be an issue with me. I have changed the gas bottle and regulator, checked gas is getting to the manifold inside the van, which it is. After that I am at a loss as to why the fridge, space heater, hob and oven will not light. I have been through Forums and read the Haynes manual, but nothing suggests what to do next. Hello guys I have a 1969 baily caravan im restoring. Im nearly finished with the kitchen area and just cleaned the vintage B600 super calor gas oven, but for the life of me I cant remember or figure out how the lid fixes on. All the bolts and screws have been replaced with new ones and this is all i have left. Can anybody help? Many Thank Andy

Hi I have an old caravan, Kanus 530. I'm renovating it and it doesn't have a hob or oven at the moment. Can anyone give me advice about gas cookers? I'd like one that's about 40-50cm deep and 60cm high. I've heard some ovens are more efficient than others. What make would you recommend that really does cook things in the oven rather than just heating up ready cooked meals? I've heard that the milibar pressure can make a different to the efficiency of the oven. because its an old caravan I guess it's 28 not 30 milibar pipe work. Do I have to get a 28 milibar pressure compatible oven or can I get anything? Because I'm renovating the caravan the pipe work is accessible. Is it simple to change the pipe work to 30 milibars if need be? I'll be living in the caravan (it's not just a holiday home) so I'd like a good cooker. Thanks Abi

Just been to my caravan dealer re my broken Daewoo microwave oven. Failed in my Bailey van when 16 months old. First bad news is that dealer says microwave was only warrantied for 12 months. Second hit was news that replacement cost. £140 + vat + £10 carriage. Ouch. I had only just replaced my home microwave and the domestic Daewoo model I bought was only £45. Caravan Model is KOR-6n7rs which doesn't seem available in the usual electrical factors. Anyone had similar issue and found less costly replacement unit? For those with this unit in their van I would recommend opening the cupboard above the microwave when cooking for longer periods. I belatedly discovered that the venting was poor which may have contributed to my issue.
