Elddis Odyssey 2008. Battery drain. Last year on Solar Power only, I became aware that my battery was getting lower than it should be. To cut a long story short, with the aid of a "plug in the fuse" amp meter, and a clip on amp meter on the main battery connection, I identified the drain was on the fuse supplying the rear interior lights. In detail, all the lights were individually off, but the master rear lighting switch by the main doorway was on, but I got a 1.5 Amp drain, about 18watts. Switching off the master rear lighting switch and the drain disappeared. We then resorted to using a torch in the loo! I replaced some time ago the halogen bulbs with LEDs, so I took them out in case one was faulty in some way, no difference. The lighting is: washroom overhead; wash basin overhead; wardrobe; shower overhead; lounge rear overhead. No tracker fitted and the alarm is off another fuse. As the wiring between the door master rear lighting switch and the various lights disappears into the roof cavity I'm some what stuck. Any ideas? The caravan wiring diagram in the hand book is rather vague. Frustrated retired electrical engineer!

I have a 2011 Elddis Odyssey 656 which has developed a fault in the floor. Running almost the full length of the caravan from front to back there is a step change in level of about half an inch, very noticeable, i. e. the right hand side of the van floor is half an inch higher than the left side. The kink can be seen from underneath also but there are no cracks in the grp skin. I've read up on fixing delaminated floors using polyurethane adhesive but this fault seems slightly different. I did see a report on the Internet about other Elddis models of this age having similar problems which were fixed under warranty using additional external support beams. Unfortunately, the warranty conditions on my van have not been met, (Elddis approved servicing every 12 months, etc.) so getting a dealer to fix it will be expensive. I have the skills to repair it myself but interested to hear if anyone else has tackled this job?

The water system/filter in our 2006 Elddis Odyssey 505 is the Truma Crystal, which I now understand has been superseded. When we bought our caravan, there was a spare water filter included, which I am about to fit. I recently mail ordered another filter so that we always have one in hand. I did my research, and believe that the filter we have bought will fit. However, it looks very different indeed. I have attached a photo and the white one is the old type, and the blue one is the new type. Have I bought the wrong one, or will it fit as I have been advised it will? Can anyone who has the same system please let me know. Your comments please . ..... PS I also bought a spare pump assembly after a "scare" with ours earlier in the year, and that is for the later system and does fit (because I checked!)
