  1. We have a Milenco double aluminium step that has developed a dangerous fault. I have contacted Milenco and shared the pictures I show here, but I have had no response, not even an acknowledgement of my email.. I am posting this here to warn others and suggest they check their steps for the same issue. This is something that has been seen before and posted on this forum some time ago. See: Previous post It would appear to me there is a weak point on these steps on the side rail where the tube has been drilled to rivet the front of the step. This is the point where you put
  2. Hi all, I guess this has been talked about before but I thought I’d raise the topic again. Caravan levellers, NOT, I hasten to add the plastic block types, but the Bulldog, Milenco type. I appreciate that they are hard to use, I also appreciate that although the manufacturers say you can use a rechargeable drill, you can’t, that is unless you’re lifting your child’s plastic John Deere trailer. And, I know you need a ratchet type wrench to effect the lift, however, does anyone out there have any experience using on of these and if so how do they perform, please
  3. Bearing in mind I’m a newbie, I just trial fitted my Milenco Aero 3 towing mirrors. I bought rubber ‘F Pads’ as suggested for the BMW X3 mirrors which notch into the groove on the mirror trim. Assembly etc was easy enough as you’d expect. Just wanted some views (no mirror pun intended) on positioning etc. I feel the brackets are a bit closer together than I’d have wanted. But due to the shape of the mirror at the outermost part and the narrow gap between the mirror glass and the casing, both brackets needed to be on the flatter top section. Otherwise, everything seeme
  4. Hi All Just bought a 2016 Kia Sportage KX4. I have been using Milenco Grand Aero 3 mirrors with our previous tow car with no issues. I am having trouble getting a secure fit on the Sportage, there is very little gap between the mirror glass and the bezel/frame of the car mirrors, meaning that I cannot push the wedge shaped clamp in far enough, also the car mirror bezel/frame is at an angle to the body of the car mirror. Does anybody use the Milencos on a 2016 Sportage? Do I need to use the v pads as the Sorento uses? Can I shorten the wedge on the clamp in order to push the clamp in fu
  5. Apologies if this has been raised before. Has anyone had problems making Milenco Aero towing mirrors stay on a 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan? Ever so slightly annoying to spend £50 and then be unable to fit them safely! Any help appreciated. Paul
  6. Hi guys. Firstly this is a really good forum, the advice has been invaluable and there is plentiful and really good responses. So, further to my last post found here, i wanted to let you all know that i successfully picked up my caravan and towed it home with no drama at all. I just decided, after all my concern about the clutch, to simply tow the van up my drive. So the first try, in which i stopped the car half way up due to making sure the van was not going to bottom out on the pavement. resulted in wheel spin and getting stuck. The second attempt w
  7. We're working our way through the list of necessary equipment before our taking our new-to-us caravan on our first trip. Levellers seem a very good idea. I realise I could use lengths of decking etc, as do some experienced people here, but decent plastic seems to me lighter, and maybe less prone to slip if stacked to achieve more height. I'm getting the impression that Milenco, while not cheap, have earned a good reputation for their gear in general. They have an amazing variety of levelling ramps/platforms, from the Trident, the Quattro, to the Stacka sets and beyond. The St
