Hi, Please can someone help. We we’re supposed to go away today and when I pressed the up button the middle axle cylinders refused to retract. The override valve and hand pump doesn’t work. ..the cylinders will lift the van but refuse to retract. 13. 2 amps on the battery so is okay and I have a 3 meter extension lead so plugged it into the car and still no difference. ..just in case the battery wasn’t any good. dors any one no what’s wrong as it’s stuck up high and I’ve a family of moaning kids disappointed about not going on holiday, will Ep come out to repair ?

Made a major blunder yesterday, was moving sites and the locks were on so jacked up the side removed the locks and stored in their bag in the back of the car, hitched up and moved forward, felt a little drag but assumed the wheels had sunk in, then it freed as if a brake were binding so after about 4 metres got out and had a look. Nice furrow down the field just inside the tyre track, it then dawned I had not raised the jack. Only excuse I had not been well for a couple of days but I did feel like a real plonker. Tried to look underneath but long grass made it difficult so operated the jack up and down and it seemed OK but did not lift the side. Decided to get Mayday out to check it, "be with you in a hour sir" two hours later green flag van arrived and inspected it. He reckoned it was fine but had lost the spreader plate so we searched the trough and under the van but no sign of it. Got to the next site eventually, road closed and I had put wrong postcode in, and with a large block underneath it worked fine. I suspect the plate is bolted to the ram and I have sheared the bolt so new plate and bolt and then the fun begins getting the broken stud out, might have to remove the whole unit. Will speak to E&P when I get home. Ian

Hi all, I have a Kwikee levelling system fitted to my 2008 Abbey Spectrum 535 twin axle van. The rear steadies now fail to lower when they should. If I manually (with my foot) extend them, (although there is then no pressure to support the van), then retract them using the remote control, they retract ok. The front stedies and axle supports all work as expected. I have tried lubricating all moving parts and they move fairly easily with my foot as mentioned above. As this product is no longer made or supplied, and the supplying company CMI offer no help at all, I was wondering if any of you good folks out there had any advice / experience of this problem?? We us the van a lot and I am currently having to use loads of wooden blocks underneath the steadies at the rear to keep it level and safe when on site. I cannot find any information on the web like a system schematic or installation manual for the product. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, Kevin.
