I wonder how many CL sites with either clubs, have the following. 16amp electric, electric post with light, same post with a mains water supply, grey waste outlet, both grass and hard standing, toilet block. We found one in Gloucestershire, Passage Farm, that has all of these. I would suggest that this is possibly one of a kind, but I am willing and happy to be proved wrong.
We have recently sited our caravan on a seasonal pitch, and it is my intention to leave the awning up. My question is what to do to get a good solid even level floor inside the awning. It is on rough hard standing, and my first thought was to put down plastic pallets and board them, but I was put off by others on the site having problems with vermin. My next thought is to blind the area inside the awning with sand, place a visqueen damp proof membrane over it, place some underlay, and lay some used laminate flooring. What I wish to know is, will it work, or are there obvious reason I shouldn't even think of doing it, which I'm just not seeing.
There has been a number of threads about the best pegs for hard standing and I use hard steel ones whacked in with a lump hammer. My difficulty is getting them out. I've bent quite a few tapping them this way and that trying to loosen them and am thinking I need some sort of crow bar or other long lever. Anyone got any top tips?
