Hi, I am looking to buy some flooring for my first caravan awning and am slightly lost with options. Is there anything comfortable under feet that is easy to install for my awning? What are the brands I should be looking into? Thanks.

We have recently sited our caravan on a seasonal pitch, and it is my intention to leave the awning up. My question is what to do to get a good solid even level floor inside the awning. It is on rough hard standing, and my first thought was to put down plastic pallets and board them, but I was put off by others on the site having problems with vermin. My next thought is to blind the area inside the awning with sand, place a visqueen damp proof membrane over it, place some underlay, and lay some used laminate flooring. What I wish to know is, will it work, or are there obvious reason I shouldn't even think of doing it, which I'm just not seeing.

Hi All, I was just reading some posts about the RugBuddy product (under carpet heating). I was wondering if anyone has tried this product under lino in a caravan, as this might be what I need for gentle, low cost ambient heat. Hi to everyone, my van is a 2004 model and has fitted carpet,and was thinking of replacing it with vinyl flooring. I wondered if anybody has done this and if so how difficult a job it was. If anybody has any tips or info i would grateful. Regards Barry

Hi all, we've secured a seasonal pitch at a great site, and have now had our van sited for a few months. the previous resident of the pitch used wooden pallets (and kindly left them) inside their awning with a ground sheet and matting on top. We've been using them in the same way but am annoyed by the gaps. Has anyone else used pallets in this way and overcome this irritation, or is their an alternative to go underneath the ground sheet and matting? Thanks T
