Hi, I've heard that's its possible to site a touring caravan in france/spain. I am thinking of this. we have 2 small dogs. we enjoy walking mainly also mountain and road biking. I am wondering what the options are that many of you may have experience of..... locations, price, towing the van, travel time, do you fly there or drive. any advice would be great . regards rob

Hi, everyone. We live in Pembrokeshire and have been caravanning for over 12 years, separately and then together. We have a 2012 Swift Conqueror 480, which we are selling and moving over into the world of motorhomes (bought a new Ford Transit Custom and having it converted to our own design). Dairy farmer hubby is a mountain biker and we also often travel with our 2 dogs, so need a garage/doggy area, as well as a fixed bed. We have just had our first weekend in our first caravan. With us came 2 large dogs and one 12-year-old daughter. We have not yet bought an awning but we do intend to do so. An awning would have been useful but it seemed such a hassle when we set out on Friday after school (5. 20pm after last minute jobs were done) and arrived at 6. 45. We do intend to go away for longer periods too. We noted with interest that some vans had half awnings and others had porches that seemed quite simple to errect.
