  1. Hi all.... Does anyone know how to replace the rear road lighting bulbs in a 2010 Clubman please? I can't for the life of me see how to get at the bulb itself & the handbook is no help. I don't need to change any bulbs at the moment but it occurred to me that the best time to find out about these things is before you need to rather than after.... I attach a pic of my rear light cluster Thanks for any help.
  2. Hi all, we own a 2017 lunar Clubman SR, I Put my head out of the main skylight the window in the living area and noticed four fixing holes in the skylight unit have no screws in them? There are four holes in total two each side of the long run of plastic that the blackout blind and fly scream slide along, I’m not sure that they should have screws in them, but before I go screaming to the dealer about lunar lack of quality control, which is significant, 🤪, I wondered if anyone out their with the same van has noticed the same, or has the same, should those holes be full of screws or not? any help would be appreciated, if your hole is empty, should it be filled, please?
  3. Hi All I've just finished adding a 3 position switch to our 2017 Lunar Clubman ES. The bathroom ceiling light has a nightlight facility but Lunar didn't add extra switches to use this facility. The main pull switch turned off ALL the lights in the bathroom. Originally, the water pump used to turn off the lights when operated but this hasn't happened after they got replaced under warranty. The replacement lights have a different switch fitted to the centre of them. I used a 3 position switch so that I could turn off the vanity lights or turn on the Lunar night light that I fitted to the base of the wardrobe. To get at the wires, make sure the main light switch is off. Remove the ceiling light by prising out the white portion of the light using a new stanley knife blade. This then reveals four screws, the ones that you need to remove are the 2 larger ones. The light can then be lowered revealing the wiring. There will be 2 pink and blue wires joined together. These need to be separated, one goes the the light switch and the other goes to the vanity light. I then ran a wiring rod between the ceiling board and the polystyrene foam in the direction of the wardrobe. Drilling a 20mm hole in the ceiling inside the wardrobe. I just drilled enough to get through the ceiling board and no further. I removed the foam with a small scredriver giving access to the rod. I then ran a loop of thinwall wire back to the ceiling light by pulling gently on the rod. The red wire then needs to cut and crimped onto the separated pink and blue wires. The other end of the red wire can be fitted to a normal switch or a 3 position switch if the extra night light is needed. The earth for the extra night light was attached to the earth in the cupboard overhead light. I hope this is of use someone as it drove me mad and am glad that I've managed to sort it. We spend a lot off grid and so wanted to be more in control of our 12v usage.
  4. Hi Occasionally my 2011 Clubman SB trips the electrics at the site bollard. This happens on different sites, the last time the warden tested the bollard and my EHU lead and they were ok. I have found that if I turn off the mcb's marked "Fire and Sockets" it no longer trips. When i got home with the van and connected to EHU the fault had gone. There is no Fire in the caravan fo what does "Fire " refer to? Mobile Caravan man has tested the sockets and says they are ok. When it happened in France at Easter, i discovered that the Van Battery Fuse had blown, I replaced it and all was ok. Have checked the fuse and it is ok. Any suggestions please.
  5. I have a Lunar Clubman CK 2015 still less than 12 months old. Two days ago I had it serviced, and discovered to my horror that there is 45% wetness showing above the wheel arch in the wall panel, and along the base of the panel. My question is can the modern one-piece panels ever be dried out successfully? Or do they have to be replaced? I have not yet returned it to the original dealer, but will be doing so in a couple of days time. When I reported it over the telephone they seemed quite sceptical and insisted upon testing it themselves, which suggests that I may have a fight on my hands. It sounds very serious to me, and any suggestions would be welcome.
  6. The control panel in my Lunar is made by Sargent. It normally shows battery voltage, at the touch of a button this switches to amps. About 5 weeks ago when in France on hook up, I noticed that the voltage was at 14. 9. This worried me, I tried it with my cheap multi tested which showed 13. 6 Concerned I called Sargent. They were also concerned. He asked me to check the amps which were only 0. 1. He said he would be very concerned if it had been something like 7. Should have mentioned there was no load. He offered to send parts out and thought it may have been a software issue. I said not to bother and I would keep an eye on the situation and take it to the dealer when I get back. After that the voltage often shows very high but amps can be minus. I am posting for thoughts but also for Clubman and Delta owners with this system to keep an eye on theirs. Van goes in on Friday, I will report back. John
  7. We are thinking about buying a 2015 Clubman fixed bed. We think it has a great design. Very impressed. We could have upgraded our mark 1 Valencia for a mark 3 at a very good PX but would much prefer the Lunar. Question is. As Lunar is still a conventional construction. Is it out of date? Will we suffer from damp? Will there be high depreciation? John
  8. Will be picking up our 2015 Clubman around February. The Trauma ser mover will be swaped from our Unicorn. I had already moved the mover on the Unicorn to behind the wheels in an attempt to better balance the caravan. I have since read on here that people are saying that their Clubman's are, like the Unicorns, front heavy. It may be too early to know if the 2015 Clubman's are going to be front heavy, but going by experience of current models should We fit the mover in front or behind the axle. I do know that it is best fitted in front if possible but I would like to make use of that big front locker and not have to move gas bottles etc out each time we travel. John
  9. This might not be a big issue to most but to my wife and I, it's a real pain. The Daewoo microwave as fitted to most of the 2013 Luna range is, in the case of my Delta Ti, very high off the floor so it's hard for anyone of less than 6 foot to see into the microwave, let alone see what's cooking inside. This I can accept as it's probably the only place Lunar could site it. Now the big moan and it's safety related - the microwave light only comes on only during the cooking cycle. All microwaves that I've ever had, the light comes on as soon as the door is opened or during the cooking cycle. To further compound this lack of visibility, the inside of the microwave is a dark grey, not white like other models. So imagine you're cooking a bowl of soup. Set the timer, press start and the light comes on. At the end of the cycle, light goes out, open the door but you can't see the liquid inside the bowl (lack of light and height). Then you have to try and lift the bowl out, not knowing if the liquid is luke warm of boiling hot. Now try this again at night with just the 'van lights . I'll be asking Lunar for their thoughts on Monday as to why they chose a Daewoo counter top microwave that, IMO, has a serious design & safety issue when used at height. Rant over .
  10. We are considering changing to a Lunar Clubman SE. Anyone any comments to make on this 'van please? Any advice would be welcome.
  11. I would like to know of anyone who has had a problem with the bed frame assembly on 2010 Lunar Clubman SE vans? The original bed frame in my van started to show signs of movement before it was a year old. That was reported for warranty work. Further problems emerged at 18 months when a bulge appeared on the outside of wall opposite where the frame assembly was attached . At 2 years, the outside of the wall also moved when opening and closing the frame and later the bed started to drop off its supports when in use. Gaps were then found under the bed between the internal fittings (bathroom wall and cabinet) and the internal skin of the wall. .
