  1. On a lovely site atm, well known to us. But strict car, caravan, awning rules. This gives us a lovely green lawn in front of our awning. But a motor home with left hand drive is on the next pitch. So as i sit on my patch of grass they and their two dogs are less than 3feet away. Am I right to feel aggrieved?
  2. Hi all wondered if the community could help me. Looking at buying an air awning for my 2013 bailey Olympus 620/6. Much aprreciated gary
  3. Hi there i am new to this forum. I am looking for an awning for my newly acquired bessicarr 525sl. We want an air beam vango. We see loads vango Kalari and varkala 420s near us for sale. Any idea if they will fit? Kind regards Rich
  4. Hi everyone I have a dorema awning size 14 I believe. However we have now bought a pageant 7 Sancerre and we think it needs a 15 awning. I actually really like my awning and it is fairly new had it for our old van, Will this fit the van? Or is there anything I can do to make if fit..... I really don’t want to shell out mega money for a size 15 as I would want a similar if not the same awning.... i think the awning size recommended is 1008 for the pageant... Thanks tracy 😊
  5. Hi, looking for advice, I have a Kampa Carnival awning (sice 15) I have look all over for a Kampa Tall annex that goes with it but cannot find one, next best thing I have read that a Dorema Daytona Tall annex would zip in to the Carnival awning, does anyone have experience of this, I could go for a unversal annex but would prefer one that zipped in. Any help or advice would be apreciated.
  6. Bought a 4. 4m Fiamma CaravanStore Zip Privacy Room from friends who have given up caravanning. They used it only 3 times. On holiday put it up, adding guy ropes & FULL tie-down & with side windows rolled up it coped easily with gusty winds which would formerly have caused us to roll away previous blind when on its own. Today we had light but persistant rain & so rolled windows back down but found that the windows barely reach the Velcro fastening and it all leaks like a sieve. This is not only through gap left by too shorter window fabric but also through seams & zips. Has anyone else had this trouble? Does it improve with use? Had I bought this new I would return it as "Not fit for purpose"! You certainly could not store anything around the edges & expect it to stay dry! Shocking design as regards rain resistance. "Showerproof" at best. If anyone else has solutions/suggestions I'd be most glad to hear them. I have phone number for importers Nova Leisure who I'll ring when we get home.

  9. Hi, just bought a new sprite Major 6. Anyone know which size porch Awning might fit so as not to cover the lounge window. Cheers
  10. Hi Everyone. I have just joined this forum mainly because I have scoured the net looking for some good advice and net some expert opinions form Caravanners who have owned and used pull out sunshades ( bag type) I Have been camping and caravanning since the age of 5 when I was introduced to the big wide world of camping by my father. In addition to camping my father had a caravan which I used go away with when younger. I then purchased a Mardon 5 berth caravan back in 1980 and took my own kids caravanning before they got tired of 'living rough' so to speak. I also had a Touring motorbike and used to head over to Italy and Spain on it along with my wife and our two man tent. We did that 3 years on the bounce but the trk down to Plymouth and Portsmouth from Scotland took its toll on me so I gave up travelling abroad on my bike. I Have since then had a number of vans and have recently purchased a new Unicorn Valencia. I have three awnings two of which fit the Unicorn but to make life easier I was thinking about purchasing a Thule Omnistor 1200 bag pull out awning for those trips at the weekends where a bit of shade from the sun and rain may be required. I appreciate that these can be a bit iffy during periods of wind if not lashed down. Can anyone advise if this a good sunshade ( appears to be) or if there is a better solution out there Regards Spad
  11. Hi I have just purchased a 2012 lunar Ultima 426. I have a dorema Ventura skylite 390 is it likely to fit or do I need to buy a new awning? What do people think of this van? I pick it up on Thursday.

We hope you like the new range! Kampa Max
  13. Stayed on a beautiful C+CC CS this weekend, well tended, lovely facilities owners were welcoming and friendly. ..but Why charge extra for an awning full, porch or canopy? It's the on thing that drives me mad, if you've paid for a pitch space why pay extra for putting something in it? What's the general opinion?
  14. Hello everyone I'm new here and am just in the process of looking to buy a second hand caravan for the first time. I used to go caravaning with my parents and brothers but that was 35 years ago and things have certainly moved on since then. My wife and I have looked at a number of vans at different dealers and are thinking of going for a 2 berth with an end washroom. Our budget is about £10,000 and there seems to be quite a lot of choice. I do have a couple of questions that I hope you good people might be able to help me with. Firstly, with regard to the electrics, if we are hooked up on site would there be enough to charge my laptop and mobile phone if I plugged them in to a socket on the van. Also, if we were just running off the leisure battery, would this be too much for us. Secondly we are thinking of getting a porch awning and the inflatable ones seem very good. Has anyone got any experience of these and are they really that much easier and quicker than a standard poles one as they seem to be more expensive. Thanks in advance for any help. Waylon
  15. Hi Does anyone own an Adria Rio Grande 2013 ? We have Sterling Caravans in the past but decided to try Adria after finding damp in Sterling Van 😢😢
  16. Hi everyone, It's that time of year again for the NEC Caravan, Camping & Motorhome show. As always, we can't wait to show our new 2015 awnings to those who have not yet had the chance to see them and a number of Kampa representatives, including myself, will be on stand to help answer any questions you may have about the new range. The show is a fantastic opportunity to order your new Kampa awning before the season starts with most models in stock. On display in Hall 1 Stand 1000, we will have the following awnings; Fiesta AIR 280 Rally AIR 390 Rally AIR Pro 260 Fiesta AIR Pro 420 (with canopy) Rally 200 - Blue Rally Pro 330 (with annexe) Rally Ace All Season 390 We hope to see you all there, familiar faces and new. Make sure to mention that you are a CT member and I'm sure someone will point you in the direction of me! Happy Caravanning! Kampa Max
  17. Hi everyone, What, if anything is the most frustrating and problematic thing about caravaning? Thank you Mark
  18. Hi all decided to buy a caravan today, a bespoke Omega compass 400 - 1994, I know nothing about all this as have never done it before but really want to buy an awning for it, must be quiet large and be able to put in an inner tent, can any one please point me in the right direction as to where I go and what brand/make/model etc I need to look for any one have any thing for sale? Know of any good sites to look at etc. .. any help and advice is more than welcome
  19. Has anyone had experience of leaks in Inflatable awnings. I was thinking of buying a Kampa one and when speaking to a lady who does awning repairs she said she was always repairing leaks on the tubes. Should I be worried? Any input would be appreciated as my last awning purchases have not exactly been a runaway success.
  20. A dealer who appears to be selling second-hand awnings may well have taken them off part-exs, puts them in the shop then potentially sells them to the new owner of the caravan that the awning may well have come from in the first place is being a little unfair??? Or do I not have a head for business?!
  21. Why is it when i try to get a porch awning for my van the only ones they do are 235-250 hight will this fit my van i ask the farmer where we stay he said the hight of caravan is 92" has anyone had this problem Than You Tony
  22. Hi all, New on here and looking forward to some stimulating chat with you all
  23. Can anybody help please? Will a Ventura Cadet porch awning be suitable for a 2013 Alu-tech Bailey Unicorn series II Seville please. Thank you
  24. We have just bought a second hand awning which is in great condition. We have been trying to find a plastic table and 4 chairs, the good old patio sets that you used to get with stackable chairs. Why has everybody gone so upmarket and posh??? can't find anywhere that sells them. I don't want to spend over £100 on tables and chairs that will be used for possibly two holidays a year. Would love to know what you all use and any advice on purchases. Thanks
  25. Apologies if this topic has been done to death. We are looking for a full awning for our Bailey Ranger 510/4 and found a really nice looking Eurovent Soleria Size H 910-945cm with fibre glass poles. The question is it states that it is Acrylic where most I have seen state Polyester. ...what's the difference? and also has anyone got this model and rates it? We will only be using it three times a year (May, July, Oct) all in the UK. As usual after all the online research I'm still stressing lol On another note the caravan comes out of storage tonight for her full service tomorrow. Can't wait to see it back outside the house Thanks in advance!!!
