Swift Loire 38x12 /3b Where should I start to look for the end of the aerial coax lead At the roof outside or tucked up outside underneath? I’ve seen a lot of the new caravans have a little aerial fitted on the roof edge,rather than a separate pole.. etc which is why I ask. Where does the aerial lead exit the caravan .. blah blah In a Cupboard at middle of caravan there is amplifier. 4 coax cables come out of sockets on the amplifier labelled TV2,TV3,TV4,TV5. So that’s the cables for each tv point in the living area and bedrooms. . there is a 5th coax lead at the top of the amplifier which is going into the socket with the label IN UHF. This lead disappears not accessible like the others obviously. Where would you typically find the end of this coax cable. So I can attach my aerial. underneath or at middle of roof I’m sure I’ll find it . anyway I couldn’t look properly today it’s raining, but maybe someone will know. Only my First quick inspection.

Awaiting delivery of a new coachman 2015 but we are really concerned about the reviews on the tv reception. Does anyone have any advice/experience on this please?

Apologies if it's not cool to post this, but I wanted to let people know that my app "Antenna Aligner" which has been available on iOS (Apple) for nearly 6 years, is now available for Android (4. 4+) through the google play store. Both iOS and Android versions have had a makeover, and have up-to-date transmitter and postcode information. .. and it does all this without needing an internet connection. I would appreciate any feedback so I can make it better! Chris

We're looking to cover our caravan with a storage cover over winter for the first time. It has one of those twig aerials. Will we have to remove the aerial or will the cover just 'bend it'? If remove, how is this done, any advice would be most appreciated TIA Kate

Hi Everyone Just joined Caravan Talk hoping to get some feedback on a problem I have. My wife and I purchased a new Elddis Avante 462 last May. Whilst purchasing the caravan we were a little scepticle about the looks of the Avtex aerial compared to all other caravan aerials, but we were assured by the dealer that they were fine. We have been out on several trips now to different areas and have failed to get a perfect picture each time whilst being surrounded by fellow caravaners watching perfect pictures with their Status aerials. Is this just our caravan or has anyone else had similar problems. Many Thanks John

Any news on how the Avtex TV Aerial (2014 vans) is performing in poor/average signal areas?

Having had poor reception fade in and out issues with my Status led finder booster and no help from them I decided to look at the British made Fringe version. Not only is it marginally cheaper its very clear led readout makes it very easy to align your aerial. Contacted Fringe direct as my connections were different and they were so helpful, made sure that I ordered the right one, supplied it with screw in connectors and lots of helpful advice. Received next day fitted and working in ten minutes! Cant rate them high enough so if you are thinking of replacing your old style booster with the new types contact Fringe you wont find better service.

Hi All, New to the forum and this is my first post! I am a new caravan owner, and have had just the two trips in it so far. I've been looking around at what aerial to purchase for the van, as the amplified indoor portable one i bought isn't up to the job. What is the best budget aerial I can purchase? Ideally I don't want to spend more than £30 and have been looking around at element aerials etc off amazon which seem to have decent reviews. Does anyone have any recommendations? Many thanks
