Hi All I have bought the 700mm Alde radiator to add to my washroom in the Valencia series 1. Received it in the post today and checked it over. I wonder if anyone has any experience fitting these, as, although I have the 2 rubber 90' bends to connect it inline, the rubber bends do not appear to be long enough to clear the bottom of the frame of the radiator? I would expect after the radiator is mounted there should be an air gap for convection and the rubber connectors should extend down to then connect to the pipe on each side?

Setting up on Sunday, I reached through the outside hatch into the under-bed locker to retrieve the power connection cable. The awning's stored in there too, so I reached over it and, as I did so, felt a slight scratch to my hand. I pulled my hand out to see a couple of score-marks on the skin that, a few seconds later, bled quite, er, enthusiastically. I had brushed my hand against the fins of the radiator that passes above the hatch access to the locker. Bummer! I bet Mr Bailey never thought of that!

Those of us that have the Unicorn 3 will know that the bathroom lighting consists of two very bright led clusters in the shower. At our age not really to be recommended, but there you are. One centre light that is independently switched and a small LED down lighter over the ‘make up ‘ mirror. (Not the shaving mirror on the arm, seemingly that is in the wrong place with no shelf for the ‘face paint tackle’ ) Whilst perfectly adequate as far as I was concerned, SWMBO thought otherwise. The constant muttering prevailed. I had hoped the problem would go away with use but no. Apparently the one over the mirror is a little dim for putting on ones make up. My light hearted jape that at her age perhaps that was a good thing produced the sort of stony silence that was deafening. Another attempt at jollity, that 'I’d get her a head torch for the forthcoming Silver Wedding' was met with a similar response, in fact worse if I’m honest. It came to a head at the Bailey Factory Visit. Those that go will know that they sell off old stock and spares at silly prices and the proceeds go to charity. There right at the front was a ruddy great box of LED down lighters at and silly prices. She was in like they were giving away free pairs of those ‘Gina’ shoes she likes. That’s exactly what I want over the “make up mirror.” Look they even match ours, just bigger and brighter. At this point I should point out that she is knowledgeable on things like amperage and such so that wouldn’t work. Also given my pedigree I couldn’t say “Can’t do that, too technical for me.” For those in a similar situation, the wood ceiling panel with the light in it is held on by 5 screws and some industrial strength sticky pads. Plus you have to remove the door to free it. So plan 1 take off panel – go to workshop – cut hole – fit panel and wiring looked a little stressful. Gentle teasing of the wires to the light exposed the ‘spade lugs’ to plug in the new light. So Plan 2 out with the trusty dremel and in a matter of ten mins the hole is cut. Reconnect battery switch on and I’m looking at my Grandfather. Boy is it bright and showing up every handsome crag, (note to self must go to specsavers). Any advice is welcome as to what to say when she tries it. I’ve done what was asked but it’ll still be my fault, I can feel it coming, and the tinnitus will only get worse.

Hi folks looking for recommendations on our way home in June this year. First time in Spain with the caravan. Travel out 29/3 Bilbao, Zaragoza, Alcossebre before heading North to Besalu -West of Barcelona. Looking for recommendations near Perpignan, Millau and thereafter NE towards Colmar the Alsace. Small friendly, Clean sites suitable for dogs. Quiet rural sites. We are a couple aged 60. Enjoy walking, relaxing with coffee, beer, wine. Enjoy being able to walk into towns, odd meal out etc. Simple pleasures. Many thanks for your anticipated replies Jim

Hi Just thinking of getting a new van, down to valencia or Barcelona. I just don't know which one to go for. Can anyone help, maybe if you have one of these yourself you could point me in the right direction Thanks

After all the agony over Valencia wheels coming loose a year or so ago, you'd think that Bailey dealers would have no problem getting it right. We have just had our 2011 Valencia serviced, at *********** (no names no pack drill) and the service sheet blithely said Torque checked at 120 Nm. I didn't spot this for a few days, but then went in and enquired with the head of the Service dept. "Oh yes, it should be 160Nm." he said apologetically. I wonder how many other Valencias have slipped through at this Dealer without the owner picking this up. So, Valencia owners - don't rely on the Service engineer getting it right. Make sure you check!

Hi All, I'm looking to buy a quick and easy awning for my Bailey Valencia and think the Sunncamp Swift fits the bill. Does anyone know if the 260 will fit between the bedroom window and the front window. Is anyones van outside their house and can measure it for me? Thanks, Shingle

Looking to purchase a caravan over for our Unicorn Valencia, Can anybody recommend one, looking for a good fit if possible. Any advice welcome

Love my Valencia, however there are some minor guarantee issues that need sorting and I can see opportunities to improve the design for sat TV and in board tank. My main worry, which I have asked the dealer to look at at the end of January, is a poor join behind the concertina door in the shower wall. I have since looked at new vans which are the same! Can other Unicorn owners look at the join between wall and door frame in their shower and report to this tipic with regards to appearance, acceptability and quality of seal. John

Having seen the thread and in the knowledge my Unicorn Valencia alarm is nor triggering other alarms - i though I would check and fully expected a siren etc - NOTHING !!! so how do I check whats wrong - I can set the alarm and get the 2 beeps & 1 beep on deactivation - Battery is fully charged - The monitor has no lights on and never has - I can see access to the PIR, small screw underneath . Need to investigate problem - any ideas
