Hi We're just purchasing a Sterling Eccles Opal 2007 caravan but there doesn't appear to be a handbook with this van, I've checked the swift site and also manual library on line, but neither seem to have a handbook for this model online. Could anyone suggest an alternative place to look or indeed have a copy they are willing to sell Regards Neil

Hoping someone can assist with this 2-part question with our Sprite Quattro EB. First part relates to the mixer tap at the kitchen sink. On out last trip it worked loose and I need to tighten it. I assume that I can do this purely by tightening a “nut” from underneath with perhaps an adjuster spanner (albeit in a very tight working space)? That leads onto the second part of my question...... To gain access to tighten the tap, I was looking at removing the narrow cutlery drawer between the fridge and the cooker. My problem here is that I can’t work out how to remove the

Being laid up at present for a couple of weeks has been sending me stir crazy. So given the number of posts on Warranty claims, being knocked back for – common problems experienced by members I have tried to put together a comparison chart manufacturer to manufacturer. (British main stream vans) I am fully aware of the protection given by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and that this usually exceeds what the manufacturer gives. But the differences between manufacturers confidence in their product might just surprise some people and assist others. All the information has been taken f

I have a bessacarr 2010 caravan with an on board water tank that is also possible to bypass and use just the external pump (see second pic) With the tank bypassed and using external truma pump, the pump fails to turn off when taps are off (all ok if using the on board tank - pump switches off when taps are off). No air in the system and not got any leaks (water is not being pumped from the aqua roll even though it is running). Wiring schematic suggests a pressure switch; online searches suggest altering pressure switch but I can't find it. What I can find looks nothing like

Hi all, the front panorama window of my Swift Conqueror 560 2016 model started to leak when it is raining. Since I'm the second owner of this caravan and the first one missed the yearly check up, the Swift group refuses to fix this issue within the "10 year warranty". So it's not a warranty but more like a "every year we fix all leaks for 10 years and then you are screwed" It's quite frustrating since besides the newly discovered leak, I've had a lot of issues with the caravan: The veneer was constantly falling off and I had to glue it back on. I'm a Software Engin

On our Quattro EB the blind on the rear window won’t open easily. I’m wary of forcing the clip I’ve highlighted in the pics attached. Any advice on how they work. At first I thought the blind was sitting squint, but it seems the blue / grey surround panel Is off the plumb but probably not anything to do with the opening issue. Wish they’d fitted a blind the same as the rest of the van windows.

Only myself to blame but I’ve managed to take a 1 inch X 2 inch rectangular gouge out of the back corner of the van on a gate post as the back end swung when turning. Raging at myself! The damage has taken the outer skin off, exposing the fibre threads underneath. Anyway, my question (as I’m new to this) is what would you recommend for repairing? Will I be able to get a mobile repairer? If it needs to go to the dealer, it’d probably need to wait until the end of the season as we’ve little time before then. The van has an annual inspection for water tightness and am worried I’ll invali

Hi there, I have a Swift Accord 590 model 2007. It had a leak at the back window. I had to totally remove the whole rear panel on the inside as well as the furniture, replace the rotten wood and rebuild it. I found nails and screws in the rear plastic panel that had split the plastic from it’s original manufacturing and assumed this was the source of the leak. This was on the screws attaching the rear window and also Under the awning rail. I removed and resealed the awning rail. All of this took me a year and lots of Sikaflex. When it rained there was no leaking into the c

I have a 2020 Swift Eccles 650 with a Thetford oven and a Dometic RML 10.4S tall double opening fridge. On going to our storage yesterday I wanted to make sure that everything worked on the gas as we had not tried it out. The grill had been an issue previously with only a trickle of gas coming through and the dealer fixed it. So the Alde boiler works perfectly, as does the oven and hob but neither the fridge or grill will run on gas. I have made sure the isolation valves are open for both and the gas bottle is 2/3 full. On the Swift command panel it says to reset the fridge by keeping the frid

Hi I’ve just joined up and finding my way around. Although I’ve stayed in statics over many years and rented a motorhome, I’m a complete novice to tourers as well as towing. We’ve recently bought our first ever ‘van, a Swift Sprite Quattro EB and we collect it in just over a weeks time. Changed my car a month ago with the intention of acquiring a ‘van maybe in the summer.......... anyways, we “went for a look” a couple of weeks ago and left the dealers having bought one! Tow bar (detachable) has now been fitted. Very much looking forward to a steep learning curve on h

Hi Guys!! I hope someone here can help. We just got our new Swift Eccles 590 caravan and we can't switch off the ambient lights above the kitchen cabinets. Our dealer is closed for Christmas and also the Swift group couldn't help us. We have tried all switches and also nothing in the control panel does the trick. Who can help us out?? Thanks and merry christmas!!

'Evening all, My 'van went in earlier this week for the 3-year service and a few warranty items. The (supplying) dealer has just called to say that they have found rippling of the underside of the floor at the front end and Swift will need to take it back to the factory for repair. It has been described by the dealer as 'a failure of the bonding' and it is the second one this week they have found. It was purchased new and I took delivery in January 2016. (The main extras are Alde heating, ATC, Al-Ko wheel lock, Tyrons and Paintseal.) To say I'm cross is probably the unders

Hi A crack about 2 inches long has developed in the shower tray on my 2016 Sterling Eccles 590. Another crack has also developed on one of the shower side panels. To add insult to injury as the van is just out of warranty Swift want nothing to do with it. The shower isn't used that much so I am at a loss as to how this has happened. Any feedback on effective repairs would be welcomed.

We bought a Swift Archway 2014 second hand from the first owners in 2017. We had a great couple of trips but then discovered a couple of cracks in the roof. We looked through our warranty small print and thought we were not covered as we were second owners. We tried asking at a small repair shop local to us. They did lots of tutting and shaking of heads and said it would cost around £700 to repair and they would not be able to guarantee the work for more than a year. They also 'very kindly' offered to sell the caravan for us to traders that they were in contact with. We were understandably gut

I’m writing in the vain hope that the current crop of caravan manufacturers occasionally read what their customers write. we all spend our hard earned pennies buying your caravans, I fully understand that you have to make a return on every caravan you sell. This then allows you to pay overheads and reinvest in our tomorrow’s must have caravan. Most of what you produce are perfectly acceptable, however the fact remains you are judged on the failures. When things go wrong we need to know it will be fixed in a timely manner. your dealer networks can be great, however take a

I'd be interested in hearing from any Swift Basecamp owners, their experiences, have you travelled a lot, long periods of time with your Swift Basecamp, UK/Overseas, pros and cons etc? I'm considering purchasing one to travel around in, not just the odd weekends, more like months at a time

I have a 2017 swift challenger 590. Recently I have noticed issues with the battery charger. Initially it works fine then it seems to stop and the battery voltage drops. When I switch it off and pull the fuse, refit it and then switch back on the charger works correctly. It seems to happen after the solar charging has operated. Has anyone else seen this issue or have any ideas what may be wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

I am wondering if anybody has incurred the same problem with his or her Swift caravan that I have. I bought my Swift Elegance 565 in March 2016 and unfortunately the problems began immediately. To date I have had the following problems with my caravan: LED mood lights failed twice Curtains falling off – (tape adhesive not up to the job) Water pressure in taps not working (reduced flow at kitchen tap) Panoramic window trim hanging down across the window Battery box seal fell off Worktop cracked after 2 days – we were initially informed that we must

Hi Bought an old (aluminium plate) Swift Rapide a few years ago and the rear right corner was found to be damp (namely when the maneuvering handle came off in my hand !) I scince then took all the old mastic strips off and replaced them with new and totally rebuilt the inside with new wood and thin ply. (and plugged the soggy floor with resin and plugs ). We have decorated it nicely and the rest of the caravan is lovely and dry, so it would be a shame to scrap it. However I have never really been certain it had properly resolved the issue Been in it today after a prett
