I typed the following before I found the fault. As this might be useful to others I am still posting the message. I would appreciate some advice on the 12V supply from the battery to caravan systems. The battery is fully charged and the motor mover works OK but there is no power to anything else DC. I have looked for an inline fuse but have been unable to find it. 12 V supply switch is simple rocker car/off/van and doesn't appear to have any loose wires. Voltmeter shows no voltage on this switch. Checked all fuses adjacent to battery inside van. No blown fuses. Now here's a thing. I just checked the battery cables again and I now see there are 2 cables to each terminal. One wire disconnected. Problem solved. The main connections are for the motor mover and the other (side) connections are for everything else. So if you have a motor mover and it works but nothing else works on 12V double check your battery connections. I recommend removing the battery to check. Even if it looks OK corrosion on the terminals could still be an issue. In my case it was simply a disconnected lead.

Morning All, After a few hiccups managed to get our caravan water system up & running. ...now have a few q's re electrics! A friend who is an electrician has wired us up to the mains (as it is a permanent sited caravan), we have no battery connected or gas. ..so our only power source currently is mains electric! BUT the question is. .. Does anyone know the reason why. ... When we first flicked onto the 12v two lights (the kitchen ceiling one & the bathroom ceiling one) worked (whereas they didnt work previously) Then when we clicked off of that & back onto the 12v our water pump started to work! (now the lights however wont lol) Anyway is this common & what is the reason for this, and the difference between 12v and the other setting? Our friend the electrican left it set up on the other setting (nor 12v) so we are reluctant to switch to 12v & leave it on that. ...as we would assume he left it on the most advisable setting. Can anyone shed any light on this. ... Thanks -
A friend has just phoned me asking if I have a solution to a problem he has on his new 2008 Series 6 Bailey Senator Arizona. I haven`t got any ideas but thought someone on here may know the answer or has had the same problem. When connected to EHU everything 12 volt works fine, being lights, ceiling fan etc. When disconnected none of those 12 volt appliances work. The car is not connected. The battery is brand new and when my friend presses the volt meter button it works and shows 13 volts. Is there a switch that has to be set ? Any help would be most appreciated Dave

Hi all Hope someone can help I have bought my second caravan a couple of months ago it is a Adria Adora 532 up 4 berth 2006 I love the caravan but i am trying to find out how to turn the 12volt off on it with my old one i had a switch but have looked and read the paper work but still cant find out how to do it with out dissconnecting the battery is it just me or does this caravan not switch off from the battery Thanks for looking
