    Sprite Alpine 4
  1. We just purchased our first caravan, a Sprite Alpine 4. We have decided to get an air porch awning to go with it, particularly looking at the Vanga Varkala Connect. The horizontal measurement across the caravan is a max 360, which would fully encapsulate all windows. We aren’t sure if we should get the larger 360 or go with the smaller 280 and add the connect extension. The space between the door and window is very limited so even the 280 would partially cover the window. As complete newbies and before spending significant money I would appreciate any further thoughts and guidance on this. Also, I have seen on here stating that if the awning goes across a window you can’t open it. Is this true if it extends fully beyond the window? I get why you couldn’t open it if it partially blocks a window. TIA

I have seen differing advice on having the awning covering the windows or not. This would determine on whether we purchase the 280 or 360 and if we should add an extension? As complete newbies and before spending significant money I would appreciate any further thoughts and guidance on this. TIA!
