  1. Many thanks for your help, it's most appreciated. Many thanks for the information, it's really helpful and very much appreciated.
  2. When we're away on site we often want to use our Amazon Firestick Lite to watch a late night movie. However, sometimes the site wifi is weak and keeps buffering. I've managed a couple of times to tether to my phone but sometimes that doesn't work (keep saying phone not in range). It's been suggested that I get mobile broadband, but to be honest I'm at a complete loss as to what I should be buying. I'm not very tech minded with these things so I need something that's simple and straight forward. I don't want to pay a monthly fee because I don't think I would get my money's worth, and to be honest, I don't fully understand how a sim card works in conjunction with a mobile broadband (I told you I'm not tech minded - lol!), and I don't want to be paying silly money. Can anyone suggest exactly what I should be looking to buy? I've been trying to search for information but it's all Double Dutch to me. Any advice will be appreciated.
  3. I've got a 2016 Lunar Delta TS and I've had a 120w solar panel fitted. Would this be sufficient to run my fridge. I have a seasonal pitch but I'm not allowed to stay on hook up when I return home.
  4. Thanks for your response. I had a feeling that 'no' would be the answer, but it was worth asking. Thanks to everyone for your response and advice to my post. Unhooking from the electricity supply is a site rule for safety reasons and I can fully appreciate that. Not everyone is safety conscious. We don't do DIY, we never touch anything that we don't fully understand (especially if safety is involved) and although it means dipping into our pockets, I would rather get a registered 'expert' to deals with things and that included the fitting of the solar panels. We will just have to empty the fridge of anything perishable before leaving the site until our next visit.
  5. I have a caravan with solar panels. Would it be possible to power my refrigerator via battery instead of hook up or by gas. When leaving my caravan on my seasonal pitch, I have to uncouple my electric hook up and turn off the gas supply, which means I have to empty my refrigerator.
  6. Thank you for you for your response. I was quite prepared to have to wait for someone to come, and I was also expecting to have the whole caravan washed again, even though the sides had already been done to a degree. I just wanted a decent job doing by people who know what they're doing regarding caravans. Also, the price you quoted was what I expected (well worth me not falling off the ladder!)
  7. I am desperate for a mobile washing service in the North West, I've managed to do the sides but only a bit of the roof. Both myself and my husband are in our late 70's. My husband is permanently on a crutch and can't climb a ladder and I have some health issues...... I really do need get someone in but unfortunately we have no family to call upon for help. Does anyone know of a firm in my location (between Wigan & Preston, Lancashire), who provides a mobile service? Many thanks.
  8. I want to thank everyone for their advice, it has given me much to think about but at least I now have some idea as to what I am going to do.
  9. I'm planning on buying a new TV for my caravan and it was recommended that I also purchase an Amazon Fire Stick (fully loaded) so I can also access my Netflix, BB iPlayer etc. Do I need anything else apart from the fire stick itself (adapter etc?) Afraid I'm not very technical so would appreciate some advice.
  10. I bought a 2016 Lunar Delta last year, had some water ingress and made arrangements to have it sorted through the manufacturers warranty. I've now been told that Lunar have gone into liquidation at the weekend and the service department was told by Lunar to stop all work to be carried out on warranty. This has now got me really worried about obtaining parts for future repairs to my caravan and the resale/part exchange value of my caravan The work isn't being carried out by my original dealer as they don't personally undertake bodywork but using a firm that they referred me to. The parts have arrived so there's no delay in that respect, but they received notification from Luna to stop all warranty work as of Thursday last week. They were told that Luna were looking to get a buyer and if none were received by the weekend then they would be going into liquidation.

  12. Yes, it does, but there have been times when we've been where there is a very poor TV reception because of the trees, but a TV aerial hook up is available. Following the information you kindly gave me, I have managed to get the adaptors and I know that the site we're going to next week we will need them. I have fitted the one in the electric box and will leave it there (unless I decide to get a satellite. I'm not sure just how useful a satellite dish will be useful because I do have the roof aerial. Any thoughts on that??
  13. Because I don't have a standard TV aerial socket on the outside of my caravan, I was hoping that I could use an adaptor which would allow a TV aerial to be inserted into the 'sat' socket, then an adapter inside the caravan on the 'sat' socket to my TV.
