  1. From Gov website :- On or after 28 September 2021 You will need to display a UK sticker clearly on the rear of your vehicle if your number plate has any of the following: a GB identifier with the Union flag (also known as the Union Jack) a Euro symbol a national flag of England, Scotland or Wales numbers and letters only - no flag or identifier If your number plate includes the UK identifier with the Union flag (also known as the Union Jack), you do not need a UK sticker. If you’re in Spain, Cyprus or Malta, you must display a UK sticker no matter what is on your number plate. If you have a GB sticker, cover or remove it. Thinking ahead, already bought them and fitted to number plates, oval ready to replace GB on caravan when I get down to storage. Hopefully will be useful next year.
  2. Google says yes, why not search for it in the app store.
  3. Got mine off Ebay, going for normal oval type for van to replace GB one on there already. Didn't have anything on car as only had it 2 years and haven't used it abroad yet due to Covid.
  4. I have a 1050 Isabella for long holidays and a Kampa 330 air for shorter stays. 330 is fine for us two, would prefer a 390 or 400 but as I say it suits us 2. We can get the table and chairs in there no problem. Only down side is ours doesn't have zip out doors or front so is a bit heavy to get through to position. Plus we dont bother trying to use it if the ground is sloping a great deal as there is very little compensation.
  5. You could look into getting it extended as charlieboy2608 says, I had my Isabella Capri extended by 50 Cm, the max Isabella will increase 2 years ago. They did an amazing job, wasnt cheap at 350ish but awning was virtually new, so better to pay for increase than sell it and buy another.
  6. Funnily enough I just this minute received and put the UK stickers on my mumber plates. Hoping to get abroad soon.
  7. This uncertainty is one reason we decided to give this year a miss as well. I realise I am more likely to catch it in the UK, but isolation would be in my house, and we have relations to get and deliver food.
  8. 50 cm is nearly 20 inches so personally I wouldn't consider it.
  9. Will campsites agree to this? are there dedicated sites near ferry terminals for isolation?
  10. Just a query, if returning from France and the antigen test proves positive, WHAT happens then? Do you have to isolate in France? or will they let you go through and become the UK's problem?
  11. There is usually a main fuse in the wire from the battery somewhere close, have you checked that one
  12. I had a Volvo 940, marvelous towcar, sorry I decided to part exchange it. On my second XC60 now, another great tow car.
  13. Do you have MCB's? has one tripped cutting power to said items. They may be in the wardrobe or a cupboard, I do not know your van so just putting an idea out there. Fuses will be for the 12volt circuits.
  14. Cheers for that, was just checking I had switched on alarm yesterday, but can't log in. Going to storage to get rest of holiday stuff today, so will make sure alarm is set and get on to sargent tomorrow if I still cant log in. Why is it after a holiday all the stuff you took wont fit in the car for the run home after storing the van? Oh of course, it's the 17 days of unfettered shopping opportunities wifey had. Head down, exit left.
  15. Is there a problem with command? Tried to log in on phone and PC and it says check email or password. I have changed nothing so it should connect.
  16. I was told that the temps will only read if the shut down button is not pressed, as they get no power if the van is shut down. As to the Alarm sounding no idea.
  17. There is someone on another forum I belong to looking for a project, here is the post. I’m after a project, a damp or damaged caravan to fix up over the next month or two if you are thinking of selling please contact me Mod edit (tel no removed - please use the PM system)
  18. I chose a 30 day sim only so I could change if and when I saw a better deal. I refused to be tied into a contract again. I was with vodafone for over 20 years and the deals they offered when my contract was due to end were abysmal, so I terminated and went elsewhere.
  19. I kicked vodafone to touch last month as I guessed they would be following EE. I now have a 30 day sim only with Giffgaff for the moment, I will switch to whoever is not charging roaming at a later date if I ever get to go abroad again As long as your phone is unlocked there is no reason why not
  20. Whilst Riva Bella is the nearest and is OK, we use Camping des Capucines at Ranville, you go over Pegasus bridge to reach it coming from ferry. Only a few miles further out than Riva Bella and much safer we thought. We have used it for the last three times we have been over, and were booked in last year and this year before we cancelled due to the Lurghi.
  21. You can always hope I guess Hopefully it should be easier to get through on the phone after the rush to get to France and Spain abates
  22. My membership was due to run out on 31st Aug, so I tried to phone for renewal. The lines were manic with people phoning up after the governments latest traffic light fiasco statement, so couldn't get through. Went on twitter and had a reply within an hour or so, telling me that they are extending membership again until 30th November, if your renewal date was 31st August. It will be applied automatically before the end of the month. Some good news at least.
  23. Still none the wiser, even with the knowledgeable comments. I guess its for water, but why and where? no use on my caravan.
