  1. I thought i was the only one!!!!! Bought one dyson, less than two years old it had the suction of a McDonald's straw. Binned it and bought a Henry, my mum is a cleaner and has used the same Henry daily for nearly 20 years. Overpriced rubbish, my £15 eBay dirt devil does everything a dyson does in the van.
  2. Water freezes in the cold? Well blow me. ... 🙄
  3. My Orion was a disaster without them, towing it with a jeep it still felt like I was towing something much larger. The shocks helped a huge amount, so much I ordered some more for my new swift even before I took delivery! The biggest thing for me was the fact that the plates stay stood up in the rack and they always used to fall over before!
  4. I use a tv connector and then connect my phone and use an unlimited data plan. Mainly use amazon video or Netflix. Handy for films off iTunes as well though. Works well but depends heavily on a decent mobile signal which is unlikely if the tv signal is bad.
  5. I've always wanted a coachman, enjoy!
  6. I know what you mean, I've often searched for info on retrofitting an electric blade but never found anything. I fitted the fan to my last van but the difference was not noticible so I didn't bother with this one.
  7. What about a "gas it" system with an external filler. Always a station on the way to the site to top up (my car is lpg and I rarely struggle) no one can complain then. There is always the option to remove the bottle and take it to refill if needs be. That is the set up I will be going for when the time comes. I can fill up the car and van en route then
  8. Same age as me, nice to know we aren't the only ones under 60!! Have fun, you will love it!
  9. Looks like an alpine 4 to me. The rockingham is worth a look as well, much better bathroom.
  10. We have just bought a 2016 archway. Well impressed with it, massive amount of kit for the money.
  11. Well done, I wish more people were like you. Look after your car and it will look after you. With the tools supplied and the garages relentless use of air tools it isn't always as easy as it first appears. Even if you get the bolts out 9/10 times you need a hammer to get the wheel off. I carry "proper" tools in the back of my jeep and you are right, it's no issue to change it if needs be. Then you have got the people who have never been shown, and finally the obvious ones who just don't want to do it. I don't mind either way, it's a nice easy one for me
  12. Our swift archway is based on a Sprite major. Maybe the older ones were the same? Or ring white arches caravans in rushden, they are the dealer for archway dealer specials.
  13. The increase in pressure is well worth the noise I think. You can't hear it over my singing in the shower anyway
  14. Manual with a cross bar, less to go wrong and only have to engage one side. I love mine.
  15. You are not alone, I carry a torque wrench in the car for that reason! My work van has a sticker saying towbar bolts should be checked every service.
