  1. I feel your pain, just had our renewal notice, and saw it had gone up by 70 pounds, checked with Evesure, they were similar price. Phoned current insurer,Towergate, asked why it had gone up so much, they checked and said sorry it was wrong and its actually gone down from last year by 5, so staying with them. I agree insurance is a necessary evil which you have to check every year.
  2. We've got the same one as GB1309. I'm very pleased with it, because it means hubby does the cooking, result!
  3. We have one, it is brilliant, as you say it saves taking the cadac bbq with us every time, and if its wet outside, you can use it in the awning.
  4. Would recommend Warcombe Farm, Moreton, near Woolacombe, North Devon and also Ross Park, Ipplepen, Newton Abbot, Devon. Both have very good facilities for dogs and owners
  5. Recommend Cofton Holiday Park, just outside Dawlish, Devon, dependent when you plan to go, plenty for teens/teenagers to do !!? You can walk to Dawlish Warren through woods, bus stop outside site for Exeter/Newton Abbot.
  6. I would be wary. If you're concerned I would phone CRiS yourself and ask their advise. I'm sure there are people on here who have sold caravans and can advice you. Better to be cautious than sorry
  7. There's the Rownham services on the m27 before the m3 junction, about 20 minutes from Portsmouth
  8. If you mean the Winchester caravans company, we've bought two vans from them, excellent service each time
  9. Well, I lost the argument and we ended up buying a 2012 X trail 2. 0 Teckna Dci Manual, nice car to ride in, I have still to drive it, my husband said it was nice to drive, very steady. The previous owners had used it for towing a caravan, but we will get the towball and electrics checked out. We pick it up Saturday.
  10. Thank you for all your comments, it has given us something to think about. I may lose the argument on which we choose, but life's too short.
  11. Need some advise from X trail owners if poss. At the moment driving/towing with an Automatic Ford S Max 57 plate, looking to getting a newer X trail. Problem is, we don't know whether to go auto or manual?? I said I wouldn't go back to manual for driving, but he who does the towing says either. Any help or comments accepted.
  12. I can sympathise with you. I use jungle formula insect repellent spray, works for me
  13. Looking to go to this site in June, and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the site before I book
  14. There is a large tesco at Portsmouth. On leaving the ferry port join the M275 at roundabout, keep in left hand lane then take the slip road signed Cosham/Portchester/A27W, at the traffic lights turn left (the Marriott hotel) large tesco 1/2 mile on left hand side.
  15. Recommend Lucky-Lite caravan storage, Catherington Lane, Waterlooville, very good.
