  1. Regardless of using a C-Tek or similar, a smart charger will charge to 14.4v max, a non-smart one to 13.8v max.. Neither will cook the battery. So as Andy has said above, something clearly isn't right.
  2. Stagn8 - have you looked at the Adria Adora Isonzo, same layout as the Sintra? If you can live with the smaller kitchen worktop, it might tick some or most of you boxes. Not German but maybe next best thing?
  3. Maybe the Coachman shower body is more restrictive than your previous Lexon?
  4. Adria for us having had two previous Lunar Delta Ti's with problems that forced our hand. Maybe OP needs to take a quick trip to Tenby Tourers .

What's the date on the tyres Towtug?
  6. I'd call Alde first and speak to their tech dept.. If nothing else, at least you'll get a second opinion.

  8. If anything, when we first swapped out the Truma pump 12 months ago, the Whale EP 1642 was much quieter, almost silent in comparison.
  9. Just my opinion, but theoretically would the distances be acceptable if your enclosed veranda was taken out of the equation? Maybe the safety distances are ok if taken from the beach pads to the original static. Again, just a thought, sorry. Edit - can you post pics?
  10. If, at the end of the day, all three cars are capable of towing your van, which one could you live with on a day to day basis? Not knowing how much towing you'll be doing, most of the time the car will be solo.
  11. That's because the sidewall height in almost identical. https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=235-50r19-255-45r20
  12. For wilding it in Scotland, take a look at Andrew Ditton's Youtube page. He has a wealth of experience, both in caravans and camper vans. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC85NTjgoQLhi43mp6iD03lQ

    Water problem

B&Q do o-ring selection packs, c.£1.69 for 10 O-rings, various diameters and thicknesses. Also try Screwfix or Toolstation

    Hot Shower?

Maybe your stored hot water has run out after one shower. Then after 30-45 mins, water has heated up again.

If you add four 100kg passengers and luggage plus driver, does the 2100kg towing capacity reduce?
  16. Ask Mastervolt or Sterling, they'll be able to tell you. We use Mastervolt inverter chargers at work on boats, each unit serves 4 x 125ah batteries. The lowest I've seen the inverters work down to is 10v but a lot depends on the type and make of Inverter. Sterling ones we tried IIRC, shut down at c.11v.
  17. Lots of Venus owners over on the Lunar Facebook group where this topic has been discussed many times.
  18. Or get a bigger C-Tek? There's always the option of going down the marine charger route (no 230v inverter), either Sterling or Mastervolt. We use Mastervolt at work on boats and on the leisure battery side, we charge 4 x 125Ah batteries for domestic use. These also power the 12V fridge and heating (no gas, no mains 230v) and all 230v appliances via the inverters built into the respective chargers. These chargers come at a cost though. You're probably even more confused now lol.
  19. Simon Barlow of "Caravan Chronicles" runs an Amarok and has done many mods to his tow car, one important one is the charging system. His blog is worth a look at and will always reply to messages and queries. https://caravanchronicles.com/2019/07/27/euro-6-engines-smart-alternators-and-your-leisure-battery/ https://caravanchronicles.com/2017/02/15/smart-alternators-how-they-affect-caravans-and-motorhomes/ https://caravanchronicles.files.wordpress.com/2017/02/electrical-current-flow-diagrams.pdf https://caravanchronicles.files.wordpress.com/2017/02/electrical-system-general-information.pdf
  20. The EP1642 is a Whale submersible pump one end with a Truma like trigger the other. Like for like swap and if nothing else, always worth having a spare pump just in case. https://www.whalepumps.com/rv/siteFiles/resources/docs/resource-library/rb_ps_WatermasterExteriorPumpRangev3_0319NOCROPS.pdf
  21. Or, as many have done, ditch the Truma and replace with a Whale EP1642 pump - quieter, better flow rate, more flexible hose and a much nicer smooth fit in the Truma housing .
  22. We vowed never to have a French bed because of the hassle fitting the bottom sheet. How naïve were we as it's no more difficult than on our previous transverse bed. As for access for the person next to the window - the Adria Thames mattress is so wide that Mrs Pebble simply gets out at the foot of the bed and doesn't need to climb over me lol. The Thames mattress is 150cm wide x 194cm long, with a very small corner cut-off. This frenchie is so much bigger than our previous Delta Ti transverse bed, even when it was fully extended with the nightime 4" sausage bolster in place.
  23. If you take out options 1 & 2, an Adria Adora Thames might fit the bill but then again, it's a French bed and not to everyone's taste. For a transverse bed, there's the Isonzo, Both are relatively heavy 'vans unladen. https://www.adria.co.uk/caravans/adora/thames
  24. Yep, what the other JGC owners have said, turn off the rear sensors in the U-Connect settings menu.
