  1. Maybe contact Alde direct as they could be of more help than Swindon Carvans?

    Microfibre towels

Good selection at Paragon. Been using their products for years including large microfibre towels as throws on the front sofas as they "grip" the cushions and don't slip or move. https://paragonmicrofibre.com/product-category/towels/?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=CPC&utm_campaign=Search&gclid=CjwKCAiAz4b_BRBbEiwA5XlVVvOzqScE0bGSn4fC0iHbpdrCWzUKEJIp9-TqUamxSlj9U35bUPSDcRoCCCAQAvD_BwE
  3. His current site has now decided to close. Difficult one . Sites are been told to close but you're ok if you need to stay away from home (including in a second home) for work purposes. If no sites are open, the only option is a hotel, B&B etc. but at a cost. Catch 22 really?
  4. "Overnight stays and holidays away from primary residences will not be allowed- including holidays in the UK and abroad. This includes staying in a second home, if you own one, or staying with anyone you do not live with or are in a support bubble with. There are specific exceptions, for example if you need to stay away from home (including in a second home) for work purposes." We've got a self employed relative who works away from home for 5 days a week (600 mile round trip) and relies on his seasonally pitched caravan for accomodation whislt working, ie "second accomodation". If
  5. Morrisons at Cambourne have LPG pumps on their petrol fiorecourt and will accept Safefill. Present your bottle to the cashier before filling and they'll then ok the refill.
  6. Yes, ok to turn on the mains but you won't achieve anything. You need to be physicaly connected to 230v before any mains fed items in the 'van will work.
  7. Another one - Adria Mobil (inc. Adria caravans) acquired by the Trigano Group in 2017. Trigano Group also includes a host of other motorhome mnufacturers.
  8. If Truma are indeed involved, the delay doesn't surprise me. We've been waiting since just before pre lockdown in March for a Truma engineer to visit our dealer to sort out a noisy a/c unit which was fitted by Truma themselves in February 2020.
  9. Have a look at narrowboat furniture which comes flat packed. Prepare for a shock when you see the cost though.
  10. If we have to change a thermocouple or thermostat on a "private" boat, ie, not one of our hire boats, we charge an hour's labour at £50 inc. VAT plus parts, so say £100 total. If, for whatever reason, the cooker has to be pulled out, this often means breaking the gas connection which then entails a gas safety check on reinstallation by a competent person (more time) and this sometimes carries a further charge of c.£25. Unlike a mobile caravan engineer, we don't have call out fees even if we go out to a job not at the marina. All of our engineers have been on Thetford courses so maybe we k
  11. If it's a Thetford combined oven/grill/burners as per the Aspire 2, we have loads of these at work on our narrowboat fleet. Access to the oven and grill thermocouples and thermostats can be done without removing the cooker from the kitchen units. The metal plate that surrounds the burners comes off and access is then down behind the cooker. Doing it this way, job should only take half an hour max.. IIRC, oven thermostat for an Aspire 2 is £30-40.
  12. Try adjusting pressure switch first? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwj_rseT5YjsAhUQQ0EAHbLuDVIQFjAJegQIAxAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.whalepumps.com%2Frv%2FsiteFiles%2Fresources%2Fdocs%2Fresource-library%2FWhaleAdjustingyourpressureswitchb.pdf&usg=AOvVaw1EADOZpj1prZnSDrw2VY7K

  14. Regardless of using a C-Tek or similar, a smart charger will charge to 14.4v max, a non-smart one to 13.8v max.. Neither will cook the battery. So as Andy has said above, something clearly isn't right.
  15. Stagn8 - have you looked at the Adria Adora Isonzo, same layout as the Sintra? If you can live with the smaller kitchen worktop, it might tick some or most of you boxes. Not German but maybe next best thing?
  16. Maybe the Coachman shower body is more restrictive than your previous Lexon?
  17. Adria for us having had two previous Lunar Delta Ti's with problems that forced our hand. Maybe OP needs to take a quick trip to Tenby Tourers .

What's the date on the tyres Towtug?
  19. I'd call Alde first and speak to their tech dept.. If nothing else, at least you'll get a second opinion.

  21. If anything, when we first swapped out the Truma pump 12 months ago, the Whale EP 1642 was much quieter, almost silent in comparison.
  22. Just my opinion, but theoretically would the distances be acceptable if your enclosed veranda was taken out of the equation? Maybe the safety distances are ok if taken from the beach pads to the original static. Again, just a thought, sorry. Edit - can you post pics?
  23. If, at the end of the day, all three cars are capable of towing your van, which one could you live with on a day to day basis? Not knowing how much towing you'll be doing, most of the time the car will be solo.
  24. That's because the sidewall height in almost identical. https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=235-50r19-255-45r20
