  1. All drained down and a nasty gash on right fore-arm whilst removing hose from drain pump. good to go until start of season again.
  2. We have a washing machine in our shed at caravan. Would the seals be ok if I poured a litre of 25% antifreeze mix in to the drum and then used the drain function for over winter?
  3. Yes, no problem running the Alde with out water in the hot water tank. Remember to set the electric input to max, either 2 or 3kw depending on model. You can also use on gas as the same time to get the water circuit up to temperature then the boiler will switch to electric only.
  4. Depends on the insurance. Was it the caravan insurance or the tow cars insurance. Two separate policies. Fair enough the tow car insurance doesn't cover the caravan. I bet it doesn't stipulate in the caravan policy what it needs to be towed with.
  5. So when there is one incident of faulty CC, we should all be worried and stop using it? What about stopping driving coz you seen and accident, stop flying due to a plane crash, don't cross the road because someone got knocked down. The chances of these are rare and infrequent. If all were to live in the realm of that could happen to me, then we wouldn't go out the house. But be careful, seen a house burn down last week.
  6. Select gas on the from panel of the fridge and you should hear the igniter clicking, if the light keeps flashing it hasn't ignited. Power of fridge then back on to assist purging the line to the fridge. Once ignited it should stay a steady blue.
  7. Apologies for posting in wrong section but not much people in the static forums yet. We bought a new to us static last October and noticed the fridge was a bit temperamental, ordered and fitted a new thermostat. Seemed to operate a bit better, once the warmer weather arrived it just seems to please itself. I have digital thermometer from a small weather station inside, even a few degrees change in ambient temp inside the van makes a drastic change to the internal temp of the fridge. at 21-22 in the van, once the controller has been played with I can get the fridge to work between 2. 5-4. 5 degrees C. When the sun comes out and the ambient in van increase to 24-26 degrees C the fridge seems to work better and the internal temperature can drop to -2C without changing the thermostat setting, and it does actually freeze the contents. This has become a bugbear of mine as I have to adjust it everyday, several times. Now when looking at the spec of the fridge it is minimum 18C operating temp so should be good for the ambients I am talking about. Any refrigeration engineers here that could give advice. Or is it a new fridge? My tourer fridge worked better than this. Cheers, Brocher.

  9. And removed with a left-handed screwdriver.
  10. Right first of all, The Bow wave, all of us have experienced this, get better mirrors and use them more frequently and when you see a lorry coming, slide in nearer to the road and give the passer by more gap. Now as for the snaking, you don't actually mention it happening, only that you thought you seen it in your mirrors. IF you experienced a snake then it similar to the bow wave only worse. Have i read your post correctly?
  11. Thanks for all the responses. As for the monies. As i say the caravan will not be leaving my house until the money has cleared in my bank. If they overpay then unlucky. Fortunately we have a separate account we use purely for Ebay etc in which we top up when need to use it.
  12. On the 3010 it plugs into the control panel and around the incoming supply. I fitted on and its probably saved me from tripping the site a few times. Definitely handy on the sites that lock the reset button.
  13. Thanks John. I just finished looking it up, i think i may stay there the night before and get them to meet me there so i can show them everything working.
  14. I have a potential buyer from Yorkshire. He has asked to meet halfway to take delivery of van. I have insisted payment be made before the van leaves my drive. Where would be the best place for meeting for doing this, and obviously manoeuvrability as well.
  15. Wrong. This is a PRV/PSV whatever you want to call it. Remember this is a pressurised system in some cases.
