Such a nice welcome, everything was as described. Nice quiet site, just the occasional owl call at night and a few aircraft displaying overhead in the day :-) With two toilets and a very nice shower in a portakabin. Hard standing throughout. Twenty minute drive to York, Bridlington, Scarborough. Fifteen minutes walk to choice of two pubs doing food. What more could you want? We hope to return before too long. Also there are holiday cottage on site if needed.

  3. My wife often says that as she insisted on caravanning, we could do the bike thing too. The logistics are too complex for me, I wouldn't want to push the vfr 12 up a ramp into a van, not that I'd want a van as my everyday transport. I'll stick to seperating the two pastimes I reckon.
  4. The road noise I mentioned was only a background drone, not too intrusive. The showers my wife tried in the ladies, would not work properly, the wardens agreed they were not too good and let her use one in another unit, which was fine, but not for gents use ???
  5. Well, all I can say is that I walked around the site and counted 80, perhaps my maths is rusty.

  11. I sometimes wish that I had gone for the estate, when we take the 'van out, we seem to take the house contents with us! One little foible, which is common on this model is the boot light fails and requires removal of trim and part dismantling of the boot lock!! Think I'll manage without.
  12. Is this a caravan club CL as posted? 6-10 units, tents accepted? It sounds like a camping and caravan club CS?
  13. Well, I only put in the address, if this site thinks that Leyburn is in the USA, what can I do? :-) It's DL8 5LX by the way.
