  1. Not the sort of news that you want to hear but so happy for you that it's being sorted under the warranty and being repaired so quickly. If anyone needs to know weather they should have a service every year then here is a prime example.
  2. Why, don't you believe me...
  3. This happened on the A20 this morning. Stay safe everyone.
  4. Went out for a walk last Sunday and noticed how many people seem to walk spread out across the path. Now when I was growing up in the fifties my dad told me that you should always keep to the right, just like you would when walking on the road. Now what I would like to know is was my dad wrong and that there is no etiquette? My when she worked in a school the pupils had to keep to the right when walking about and going up stairs, just makes getting around a little bit easier. What do others think?
  5. Took a little while but done. Great competition Darren.
  6. My caravan is 7.13 meters and I just call it 7 meters when booking and never had a problem, I might of just been lucky.
  7. Reading the posts on here, it seems to be six of one & half a dozen of the other. What ever you do is your choice. I have never opened cupboard doors for the winter in 36 years of caravanning and never had a problem.
  8. I have never seen anything like that and think it might be a bad idea as the awning channel would not be strong enough to take the stresses produced by winds etc.
  9. I have found this bit of info from the Caravan Club Forum that might help you. Have a read HERE. Hope this helps.
  10. , It just wouldn't fit...
  11. Kathy, I don't have a problem with the wheel lock, that and the hitch lock go on as they are insurance required. I would like to see some one try to pull it out from where it is parked though.
  12. After the Tom-Tom update fiasco early this year I would never touch one. Garmin for me every time. Just my opinion.
  13. My Pageant will be 13 years old next March and I have always stood on the roof to clean it twice a year and never had a problem. You do have to be careful as it can be slippery.
  14. I'm not tech minded but when I found out it was called a Hyperlink (about 2 years ago) I just Googled it and found it on Youtube.
  15. Come on Katy1000, did this solve your problem? I suspect we will never know. I have looked on Katy1000 profile and the caravan is a static Lyndhurst
  16. The bonus of parking my caravan like this is that the caravans door lines up perfectly with my rear gate, so we load the caravan completely out of sight of prying eyes.
  17. Yes, you are right Susan. I can reverse quiet good but not the good...lol
  18. Due to local councils rules & regulations I have to park my caravan past the frontage of my property so as not to be seen. It is a bit tight though.
  19. Or you can use a hyperlink like look here.
  20. Had our BAILEY Pageant Champagne for nearly 13 years now, it's clean, dry and suits our needs, so no reason to change, simple.

    Useful APPS

I have 4 parking apps that I find really useful in as much that you don't have to fumble about for change and try to guess how long you will need to pay for. I usually pay for the first hour and then while you are away from your car you have the option to top up where ever you are at the time, so if you don't like a place it only costs you the first hour.
  22. I have a Satgear 60 cm dish with the easy find LNB and worked fine for me down near Figeac. I did find that I couldn't get ITV HD channels but could receive them in SD, all BBC channel worked in HD. That was this year, August/Sept. My TV is Visionplus 21.5 with built in satellite tuner.
  23. Funny you said that, this site is about 8 miles from Durdle Dor.
  24. You are verifying my thoughts. Thanks for the reply. My door is at the back and that makes it close to the ground.
