  1. All sorted using a lubricant worked we go some Motorcycle chain lube from Halfords and it did the trick so mover now working fine. We will be putting the lube on our touring checklist just in case, but Powrtouch recommended using it every 6 months which we will. Again thank you everyone you responded - what a wonderful site this it!
  2. Does anyone use this lock by fitting it to the AL-KO thread? If so is it any easier to fit than the AL-KO lock in that you don't have to line up so accurately to fit the red lozenge? Appreciate any feedback before we venture to buy another lock in addition to the AL-KO one which we would continue to use on site as it will be lighter to transport!
  3. Thank you for your replies everyone - much appreciated f8 hers crossed we will get sorted!
  4. Hi SuperRed Again thanks for your reply, an you advise did you use a spray lubricant and if yes what type of where did you purchase it please?
  5. Hi Can anyone clarify the instructions regarding the T bar eg ‘Using the supplied T bar wind clockwise by 2 turns’ Does this mean 2 full turns ie 360 degree turns? We have had a problem with the rollers not engaging and carried out all the instructions. Eg greasing, battery check etc. But don’t appear to be able to engage with the remote, the rollers are working and we can engage manually but not remotely. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Thank you for you replies, very useful tips from SuperRed, I think we are getting the problem sorted. Powrtouch have been very helpful as well, rollers will need greasing apparently they recommend every 6 months. Stay safe everyone and get out with your caravan as soon as safe to do so! 😊👍
  7. A big thank you to everyone for your replies very helpful. 🙃
  8. We were wondering if we switch off the PSU in winter/storage will the solar panel and 12 volt battery still be being charged in order to top up the alarm during the winter? Thanks in advance for any answers. 👍😊
  9. Thanks for your replies, yes the motor is working the roller are turning but not locating to the tyres. Batteries are charged and the handset battery is ok. Movers don’t appear to be trying to move. We can locate manually and the mover does work but not on auto. It’s only just 2 years old so we are covered by the warranty🙃 That would be useful to try SuperRed.

  11. We were ADAC members but received a notification from them stating we would need to find cover more locally and hence we were unable to renew. We now rely on the RAC but will possibly consider the Caravan Club Red Pennant which we know from past experience is excellent.
  12. Hope everyone is staying safe at this difficult time! We wondered if anyone can help please, we currently have a problem with our mover and have tried to get the mover to engage to the wheels but not able to. Any tips or advice would be most welcome. We have tried turning the red handle tool anti clockwise but the only way to get it to move is manually.
  13. I must say that’s a fantastic overview of CLs in Scotland, Burstneraddict we will be planning our third trip to the Highlands next June and will find your notes very useful. Thank you for your posting.
  14. Hi I would never have given that a thought it being cheaper I was just thinking it would be lighter? But maybe there isn’t a lot of difference really, just trying to keep weights down. But thanks for your reply.
