  1. Well after talking to Steve today who was very knowledgeable about Awnings and Groundsheets. I have purchased a Isabella Medium Bolon Carpet and got very good service from Lowdham Outdoor Leisure. Many thanks to all who replied. John
  2. Many thanks for that Steve it has helped and I think I will go for the Isabella medium, You mention that you sell them for £110? Are you able to tell me who you are John
  3. The reason I asked the question is that the Isabella medium Bolon is approximately £110 and the premium £170 ( it is the medium I would need ) Yet when I was in a caravan accessory shop they had Bolon on the roll and it would have cost £120 for the same size 2. 5 x 6m But not knowing the thickness or quality of the Isabella ones, it means the one on the roll is either very cheap or more expensive. John
  4. Many thanks for the comments, I know the difference between the different types of groundsheets, our last one was of the open weave type which we lifted regular. It is the difference between the Bolon ones I am not sure about because the Isabella ones are so much more expensive. John
  5. Having purchased a new Isabella Ambassador Seed Awning and now looking at groundsheets can anybody enlighten me to the difference between the Isabella Bolon groundsheets and the Bolon groundsheets you can buy off the roll in the accessories shops.
  6. Travelled south through Rouen today about 1030, with no problems at all, underpass south was open but northbound looked closed, we went south via the D6015 and onto the N154. Now enjoying the sun and a glass of wine at La Flèche life's tough at times.
  7. I know what you mean I bought a top of the range Garmin a few years ago and was informed there was going to be a patch available to import routes but it did not happen it now resides in a drawer somewhere. Unfortunately my wife is just not good at map reading and to keep both of us sane I route plan our journeys using gps as waypoints and then manually put them in the tour planner on my car sat nav.
  8. I have a Hyundai, Santa Fe 2012 and according to Hyundai it is not possible to put a route on a stick and import it onto the sat nav, which does not surprise me because they must have the worst in built sat navs of any car manufacturer
  9. Hi Jad I like the look of that program to work out a route the only problem is that these days cars (like mine) are now fitted with sat navs and you can't download routes in them, unless someone out there has found a way to do it which I would be very interested in.
  10. For anyone who doesn't know how to get Longitude and Latitude I hope this will help. Go onto google maps and expand the map to the exact position you want ie if it is a site, left click on the road outside the site entrance, the address will come up on the top left screen and if you hover over the bottom figures and then left click, the Longitude and Latitude will come up. You will have to round up or down the last figures in each as sat navs dont take points. I use this as way points on a route I want to use so my sat nav does not try and re-route me onto a road I dont want to take, but you have to be careful because if it is a motorway you have to get the right carriageway. 12. Hi Ian Thanks for that we don't have a particular large van but some pitches can feel too cramped and their Web site is not too good at showing many photos which is why I was asking for info so many thanks for your input
  13. Thank you Mrs T we like the fact that it is not too big and is within walking distance to a town and also a short bike ride to the coast. The decision now is wether to book or wait till we get there and use the asci camping card, decision, decision.
  14. Has anyone recently been to Camping la Trévillière at Brétignolles-sur-Mer and if so what did they think of it, my wife and I are maybe looking to go there the last week in Aug and first week in Sept when it might be a little bit quieter but not too deserted. So any info would be most welcome
  15. Thank you Jaydug and Glen/Les for your recommendations certainly given me something to think about
