Hi robtir10. Interesting combination of Compass Aztec & Mondeo Estate. What is the kerbweight of the Mondeo as per the current thinking (95/48/EC)?, Which model spec and transmission is it ?. What is the plated MTPLM of the Aztec and what do you run it at ?. The car looks to be riding quite level. Is it fitted with Self Levelling rear suspension ?.

hi rooster kerbweight for mondeo is 1564kg, its a 2. 0 tdci 130bhp, caravan MTPLM IS 1600kg, unladen 1320kg, although in the pic there wasnt much in the van as i had put 2 awnings in the back of car, dont have self levelling suspension, 2 adults incl me and a 2 yr old, mondeo can pull a max of 1800kg, even though it looks an odd combination it did pull the van very easily 50+ miles, even on uphill start, i am returning to caravanning after 20 yrs so have some experience and also an hgv driver, i dont think this outfit is illegal and driven in a safe manner is acceptable, would you agree ?
