Interesting to see the framework of the Eriba.

 

Pity other manufacturers don't display this too but in some cases that might deter prospective buyers. ;)

Look on other manufacturer's websites and I think you'll find that most of them nowadays don't have a framework or skeleton, certainly Bailey use a bonded construction as do others and those who might, probably still use wood

A steel frame is heavy and expensive, two things I do not want in a caravan!

They don't build aircraft that way.

I would much rather have a modern construction method.

They used to build aircraft that way. Erich Bachem and Erwin Hymer were aeronautical engineers before they started building Eriba caravans, which grew into the Hymer Group. Eriba Tourings are still in everyday use 30 to 40 years on. How many caravans without a frame have lasted that long?
