  • 2014 4 Twin axle Touring 1526 1686 7891mm 2280mm 1093cm Yes Yes 4 The circular shower cubicle is adequate but would have been better as a rectangle with more space. There are not enough power points in the lounge (although these are easily added). The washroom has only adequate heating but an additional radiator can be fitted. 4 A matter of personal taste but I like the looks other than the comical 'eyebrows' above the front windows. Extremely comfortable bed. Front bunks are also comfortable and makes a huge double front bed. 5 Twin axles generally tow well with stability but with the AKS hitch, shock absorbers and ATC fitted, there are no problems at all. 5 It is still a wooden floor in these caravans so one must keep an eye out for leaks into the front lockers (as on series 1 models). 4 Excellent for 2 people but for a family, whilst this could meet the requirements, a fixed double bed is not so good especially as the parents would stay up in the lounge and would mean relocating the children etc. The wardrobe is also only really suitable for 2 although holdalls could be kept under the fixed bed. I have added electric points and a mover and will shortly be adding the E&P hydraulic levelling system which has the additional benefit of jacking up the side to line up the wheels for the Al-Ko locks and also for transverse levelling. Also the additional radiator in the washroom. I am also considering adding the Capricorn internal tank to allow winter touring and to give more pressure to the shower and taps. I have also purchased the increased weight plate (taking the MTPLM to 1,800kgs). 5 new Franchised dealer Very friendly staff at Ropers of Catterick who were helpful, provided good service and an excellent price. https://www.caravantalk.co.uk/community/uploads/monthly_10_2014/ccs-43750-0-08697100-1413411089.jpg Yes

The quality of the caravan is on a par with other manufacturers I checked at the time of buying. The layout of the Barcelona is good for my needs with the large fridge a welcome addition. Alde heating system is good and storage space more than adequate. The gas bottles on the side is a positive move meaning that the drawers in the lounge are moved forward such that sitting on the two front benches does not entail contortions around the drawers. This give excellent seating for 6 people. The split level worktop looks attractive but this is a matter of taste.
