In this video Chris takes a tour of Monmouth, which is 16 miles from where he's staying, at the Camping and Caravanning Club site in Hereford.

Monmouth is a Welsh town, set 2 miles inside the border and has a lot of interesting history. It started off as a Roman fort and a Norman castle was built there after 1067, resulting in a properous little town that still has a very active town centre.

Charles Rolls, of Rolls Royce lived in Monmouth and King Henry V was born in the castle.

Chris' favourite location is the Savoy Theatre, the oldest active theatre in Wales and now staffed by a Trust, relying on local volunteers. It's well worth a look.

On his journey Chris also spots a wedding taking place and has a good look around the local shops.
