When should I buy the caravan kit?

If you haven’t yet bought your caravan you should be able to save yourself a bit of money by purchasing all of the kit when you buy the caravan. Caravan dealers will often give you reasonable discounts if you buy the kit with the caravan and the more you buy the more you should be able to save. Don’t be afraid to negotiate and if they don’t lower the prices of the kit feel free to leave it and purchase it somewhere else!

If you’re purchasing a used caravan the previous owner may have already got all of the kit you need. If you’re buying privately ask them what they’ve got and see if you can work out a deal. However, you should inspect all of the kit first as you did with the caravan, as wear and tear may have damaged it, giving you better bargaining tools or even the option of leaving it and buying new.

Buying used from a dealer can be a similar process, so ask if it came with kit and check it out, you may be able to save a good deal of money!
