Battery Lost Charge

Recommended Posts

Last weekend we came back to the van and the lights were flashing. ...but faint. ...

The 12v had lost nearly all its power, its a new leisure battery.

I unplugged the battery and it all worked as it should off the mains supply. When I replugged the battery in there was a clicking noise, sounding like a relay!

Question is do I need a new charger/inverter?

Any help would be grateful, Thank you

The van is a Elddis Crusader Superstorm

I will move this thread to the Caravan Electric section where it will get better reception.

Purely a guess but with the battery being so low it was probably overloading the charger. So the charger dropped out, waited a sec and tried again. Repeat ad nauseum.

Get a good charger on the battery and get it back up over 12V and then it should be happy on the van.

But that's only a guess - I could well be wrong.
