The cassette full light on my 2002 Amaras toilet was not working. No surprise as the battery box had corroded and fallen off. So time to replace it and at the same time fix the lever that opens the blade to the cassette.

I thought I had lost the small lens that fits here, its small and easy to misplace.

I couldn't find a safe place for the battery box, so quick bit of double sided tape later and it's safely tucked out of the way.

The lever that operates the blade had simply lost a screw that held its pivot in place, simply replaced. Its the hole near the short metal rod in the picture.

Reverse the procedure to put the toilet back together and re fit in the van. Job done.

I can't see how it can be done any other way because of the way the cable is routed. Truth be told its probably a lot easier and less frustrating to remove the toilet and it's not a hard job either.

Hi I'm not sure if you are talking about what I needed to know. In the compartment where my toilet cassette is there is a small electrical device with batteries in it, I put new batteries in but have no idea what it's for? Is it what u have been saying here? Thx

Yes thats it. The batteries are for the small light on your toilet that lets you know when the tank is full. It works by a float pushing up on top of the tank and a magnet inside the float reacts with a magnet in the reed switch (small plastic looking thing on the left of the compartment) this closes a switch and activates the light.
