SUFFOLK BOY Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Does anybody on Caravan Talk have any experience of Caravan side de lamination and the repair off? I am well aware of f the fact a full wall replacement is the ideal scenario but this is not seemingly very feasible due to the Eterniti fiasco so i am left with the probably less than perfect injection method is there anybody on caravan talk who has experience of this and or who can recommend a company specialising in this ? IanV8 Posted June 4, 2014 Share Posted June 4, 2014 I had the side replaced in February this year. There are two threads on FB with pictures showing how two owners have repaired them. One injects glue and clamps, the other cuts the bubble out glues it back in and then fills and sprays the panel, he is a coach builder to trade and may be willing to do other vans. When it all went pear shaped a few months back, there were various reasons for being in the FB group, primarily that the Genesis may have been on our radar for the future. Now it's not, I'll delete myself from the group. Ex employer or employee? Sorry, didn't realise it was a clicky, closed club . Ian hi IanWas in the process of possibly buying a used IB4- but with serious side delamination, but the price could have been right. I always said it was a good idea product and at £10k would have bought, but beaten to the post by someonelse. It would have been great sited, May or may not have had the delamination attended to. I emailed the company that has the 2014 looking to possibly change but they have not bothered to reply so I will be giving them a wide berth. FUZZY_DUCK Posted June 7, 2014 Share Posted June 7, 2014 Ian, I had spoke to them when they first got the vans and they said they would get back to me but never did, so rung them again last week and they said they had lost my number, so excepted that and they said they would get back to me by the end of the day and guess what still WAITING!!, so won't be bothering now as it brings to many memories back of how I was treated at eterniti. I have got back the money I paid for the new van but had to explain all about the pre paid servicing on the current one and am still waiting but have been away for 4 weeks now so it may have been paid.
