The Buccaneer range of touring caravans has been updated for 2014, and the opulence oozes. The range of layouts offers plenty of options, and all models come with a vast array of top-end spec. In the words of Elddis MD Rob Quine, in Buccaneer caravans, “all the specification that could be possibly desired comes as standard.

The 2014 Buccaneer caravans all feature SoLiD Construction with the 10 year water ingress warranty.

The instantly recognisable silver exteriors are back, including one-piece silver GRP sides, and the tinted windows offer both privacy and cooler internal temperature in hot weather. 65w roof-mounted solar panels as standard and a motorised rooflight, that closes automatically when it senses wet weather, ensure that the Buccaneer range is equipped to make the most of rain or shine.

Inside, Buccaneer customers will find low-level mood lighting, a flat-screen 18” LED television (with external satellite connection point), a dual-fuel hob and large domestic style fridge-freezer, a 40l on-board water tank and a touch screen ALDE central heating and hot water system with 24 programmable telemetric control as standard.

All of this sits on a BPW chassis with intelligent drive control for improved towing performance and safety.

Hi Nick. This is a very impressive script, it is reading as a very convincing case for buying a Buccaneer Caravan instead of one of the equally High End caravans out there and not all British built.

There is however one very very vital ingredient/assurance to a great many potential buyers of 2014 model year and beyond;Elddis products !!!!!!!!???? ;)

There are also a great many potential buyers of Pre-owned products from the company that would/will be think along the same lines as I am referring to

The way things are currently,I for one will not be investing any more monies in one of their products,Pre-owned or otherwise.

Have to agree with TTR - we were very impressed with their products when we were looking and bought ours but unless dealers/customer service and warranty fulfilment improve dramatically I can't possibly buy another from them  :(

Yes very nice caravans, however which porch awnings fit?
Do the porch awnings cover the window or boxes?

Does anyone use the telemetric system? Earlier this year we decided to buy a Buccaneer Corsair at the NEC, just before the show when Elddis launched the new and updated models, we found out the Cosair had been dropped from the range. We put a deposit on a Schooner, but within a few weeks we worked out an Elddis Mistral would be a better van layout for us. With switching away from Buccaneer we have lost out some of the extras. I still get Alde touch screen Central heating but we don't get telemetry as standard. If I want it I have to pay £250 extra. Surely it cannot be worth this much extra can it.

Will the new £28K vans still have those nice wavy sides?
